The title of the story is that the NFLPA is accusing the NFL of letting it lapse. But the NFLPA took over the program in 2009, switched to a lesser known, probably cheaper, company and quit publicizing the program with the players. Thus it fell into disuse and went by the wayside. I am not sure how the story title holds up, unless they got it backwards. I also fail to see any accusation from either side that the other side let the program fall. Either way it was foolish to let the program lapse, and to fail to publicize it so the players knew about it.
