Jerry and Stephen Jones envy BTB's access to roster building tools. They still use a whiteboard and dry erase markers.
In the middle of July, while waiting for training camp, and in the absence of any football news (no, the recent incident is not football news), there's no better way to pass time than to immerse yourself in your favorite team.
The last edition of the interactive roster received a ton of feedback from readers. As a programmer, the best way for me to ensure that I produce a good product is by listening to user feedback. I've implemented a number of the requested features, as well as some features that were thought of by myself and the other writers behind the scenes. We all hope you enjoy the new program, as we all contributed to the project. This project is ongoing, so if you have suggestion, complaints, praise or criticisms feel free to let them be heard in the comment section.

Mile High Report (SBNation's Denver Broncos blog) also got in on the action, as writer Topher Doll contacted me and was able to get a Bronco-specific version of the program running for their use. You can check out that version here. If you're a writer from another blog, feel free to get a hold of me, and we'll see about bringing this to your site, as well.
Here are a list of the changes made for version 2.0:
*Cut list added to allow users to un-cut players
*Limits now set on practice squad size
*Players who are ineligible for the practice squad may not be added to it
*Player information panel added
*Salary cap information added (try to get under the cap!)
*Save and load feature enabled (must enable cookies!)
*Track total players for each position group
If this doesn't work, you're likely using Internet Explorer. Please, try another browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.) - your life will greatly improve. If you have any other technical difficulties, please let me know.
In order to begin, click the "Reset Everything!" button. This will load the program. Once you've done some playing, you can save your roster by clicking the "Save Current Roster" button. You won't notice it, but this will create a cookie saving your roster information. If you want to load a roster you've previously saved, click on the "Load Saved Roster" button. There is currently no support for multiple saves - so if you save, reset, and then save again, the original save will be overwritten.
Dallas Cowboys Roster Builder
To begin building your own Cowboys' roster, you'll first have to click on the "Reset Everything!" button. If you make a mistake, this button will return everything to its original condition. To move players, click on the player to highlight him, and then click on the heading to which you wish to move him. Clicking on the red CUT cell will cut that player entirely. You can track your current roster count at the bottom left cell. Good luck getting to 53!
