I think everyone on the Cole Train should be pretty pleased after a 100-yard game from our very own Cole Beasley. He seemed to show the good hands and ability to get open that we've been hearing about throughout training camp, and personally I think Carpenter would have been looking for him in the endzone if he hadn't been throwing up from exhaustion on the sideline. I know I'm not the only one who would love to see Beasley make the team, if for no other reason than to add an unfamiliar wrinkle to our offense. It's so hard not to mention Wes Welker, because that's what Beasley can bring: that reliable, always-open option to move the chains. The playing time he's getting in these preseason games, to me, seems to indicate the coaches want him on their squad, and that's never a bad sign. I'm also biased towards having as many good ol' Texas boys on our team as possible, but I can't help that! Good luck, Cole....
