Leary Play by Plays San Diego

Leary and his play by plays for San Diego

1st and 10 Dal 9, play action roll out, Leary allows his man to get up field and blocks him out of the play, 2nd and 2 Dal 22, tackle ets under Learys pads and tries to push bull rush him. Leary gives a little ground but does not get pushed back into the pocket, 3rd and 1, run off left guard, Leary pulls on a full back slam, guards normally don’t pull on slam runs, Leary gets jammed in the hole along with Loper, for no gain, poor play call, Punt 1st and 10 Dal 20, looks like Bernadeau (playing center) and Leary pull for a screen but I swear it looks like McGee rolls out the wrong way, 2nd and 10 Dal 20, Leary gets beat on a punch, the defensive tackle has beat him inside but Leary wraps his arm around his waist, a blatant hold that the officials miss, 1st and 10 Dal 30, Leary doubles the defensive end and they drive him five yards, 2nd and 8 Dal 32, Pass play, Leary has no one to block, 3rd and 21 Dal 19, Draw play, Leary runs right by the guy who makes the tackle to block another linebacker. Punt 1st and 10 SD 35, drop back pass, Leary and the DT are in a good battle but Leary gets the best of him not letting him get off the line of scrimmage. 2nd and 10 SD 35, run up middle, Leary gets to the linebacker and seals him from the play, 3rd and 9 SD 30, Pass, Leary doubles with the tackle on the DE, they do not let hem get any pressure, Field goal 1st and 10 Dal 31, Run behind Leary, Leary gets pushed back into the running back, 2nd and 10 Dal 31, Pass, Leary gets beat off the snap to his outside but like a tackle runs the guy up field and past the QB, 1st and 10 Dal 44, run right tackle, Leary gets to the linebacker and drives him back and out of the play, nice block by Leary, 2nd and 9 Dal 45, Drop back pass, Leary has no one to block, 3rd and 9 Dal 45, shot gun pass, Leary gets bull rushed back into the QB, if McGee could have stepped into this throw its for a big gain, it almost was anyway, 4th and 9 SD 35, 1st why not kick the FG? Second the Charges stunt and send seven guys, the O-line is overwhelmed; however, Leary might be the only lineman to block his guy, he stones the defensive tackle at the line, McGee throws an int. 1st and 10 Dal 20, holding Adams? 66, Leary does a good job locking up the defensive tackle and not letting him get any pressure, Adams gets called for holding because his guy falls down, he wasn’t holding him he just fell. 1st and 20 Dal 10, Leary and Bernadeau double the Dt and the tackle never gets off the line, 2nd and 15 Dal 15, Leary gets his mitts into the DT and holds him at the line of scrimmage, 3rd and 15 Dal 15, Shotgun pass, Chargers stunt, the De stunts inside and runs into Leary and Bernadeau, it is a little comical as he just bounces off like running into a real wall, He still has the time to run around Leary and force McGee to throw the ball, when I say run around I mean run way around as not to be touched, 1st and 10 Dal 20, Pass, Leary and Bernadeau double the defensive tackle, they stone him at the line, it seems to me if Leary and Bernadeau double some one they are a non factor and have no chance of making a play, 2nd and 3 Dal 27, Stretch run right, Leary has a very difficult assignment on this play, the backside guard has to cut the linebacker off who already has the angle on him, He does a superb job and drives the linebacker back several yards, Dallas has choose not to run these kind of plays that are a staple of its run game, they needed this one for film, nice job by Leary again. 1st and 10 Dal 36, Zone blocking run left, again a play for the linemen to review, Leary does not get into the linebacker but floats down the line and lets the linebacker come to him, The run is a fail, Leary needed to be more aggressive and go get the linebacker, Holding on 66 1st and 20 Dal 26, Pass Leary and Bernadeau double the tackle and stone him at the line, Bernadeau peals off and leaves Leary to handle the tackle by himself, Leary wins as tackle never gets off the line. 2nd and 15 Dal 31, shotgun pass, Leary stones the Tackle at the line of scrimmage, an unblocked blitzing corner comes in and McGee ducks under him and steps up into a pocket nicely provided by Leary’s strong block on the defensive tackle, That pocket is not there last year, 3rd and 2 Dal 44, Leary stones the tackle at the line of scrimmage, I’d say it’s lesser competition but it’s San Diego’s twos, Leary is not giveng an inch and providing good protection at this point, 4th and 2 Dal 44, Leary and Bernadeau double the tackle and stone him at the line of scrimmage, 1st and 10 Dal 49. Sack and fumble by McGee, the chargers rush four guys including the corner who gets the sack, Leary stones the tackle at the line, McGee should have read the blitz but after such a vanilla game to send the house is strange, Leary does some things well like passing off blocks and recovering if beat, He did ot particular pull well but did move well and showed an ability block on the second level not once missing his assignment, hope you enjoyed this.
