Giants RCB Prince Amukamara has been diagnosed with a right high-ankle sprain. The word comes via the CBS telecast. It's a minor victory that Amukamara has avoided a break, but high-ankle sprains can often linger for more than a month. Amukamara is now extremely doubtful to be ready for Opening Night on September 5, meaning the G-Men will be forced to turn to Bruce Johnson or Michael Coe opposite Corey Webster as they wait for a timetable on Terrell Thomas (knee). Amukamara, who was limited to seven games by a foot injury as a rookie, went down untouched on a first-quarter tackle of Brandon Marshall. Source: New York Daily News
