The Cowboys announced a series of cuts yesterday aimed at bringing the roster size down to the league-mandated 75 players. For some reason, the Cowboys took their time announcing the last and final cut of the day, but the suspense quickly evaporated when the final cut turned out to be longsnapper Charley Hughlett.
Perhaps the more interesting news in today's cuts is that while the Cowboys placed Kevin Kowalski on PUP, they did not do this with Mike Jenkins. Whether this means the Cowboys think they can get him on the field sooner rather than later or that they are keeping their trade options open remains to be seen.
While the moves today weren't exactly shocking, they were also just the first step. On August 31st, the Cowboys have to cut down the roster to 53 players. KD published his 53-man projecton lat last night, now it's your turn: Read on and press the button hidden after the break to open our up-to-the-minute Roster Builder, courtesy of our own Coty Saxman. This is your chance to play Jerry "There-wont-be-a-player-on-this-team-that-Jason-doesn't-approve-of" Jones for a while - minus the billions, private jets and other assorted perks and accoutrements.
Update: The Roster Builder is working now, it didn't function properly in an earlier version of this post.

You'll find that the cuts get progressively tougher, and that you'll have to make some really hard choices as you get to your final three or four cuts. Discuss your choices in the comments section below.
Of course, if you don't like any of this, you could still make like Jerry and record your own rap video. Except you may want to make it about something other than pizza.
