Per Nick Eatman of DallasCowboys.com, the Cowboys waived safety Mana Silva to open up a spot on the roster for punter Brian Moorman.
The Cowboys had previously signed safety Eric Frampton, and he is expected to play a significant role on special teams.
The move likely means that Gerald Sensabaugh is expected to be back for the Monday night game against the Bears, but it remains an odd move: by waiving Silva, the Cowboys have only three (relatively) healthy safeties on the roster in Sensabaugh, McCray and Frampton.
