Ok, so here are my predictions for tonight's game:
The Boys are back in town and they march in to MetLife Stadium with an enormous chip on their shoulders and blast the Giants 77-3. Tony Romo breaks an NFL Record and throws for 642 yards and 9 touchdowns. Murray pounds the rock and rushes for 212 yards and adds 2 touchdowns himself. Sean Lee and DeMarcus Ware combine to sack Eli on all 24 of his dropbacks all thanks to outstanding blanketed coverage by rookie sensation Morris Claiborne and Free Agent acquisition Brandon Carr. Ahmad Bradshaw gets lucky on one breakaway rush and gets chased down and stopped by Claiborne deep in Cowboys territory. While the defense makes a stand, they fail to shut out the defending champs by allowing a last minute FG preventing the shutout and saving whatever small amount of pride the Giants may have. Justin Tuck and JPP meet at midfield and weep and hug like 14 year old girls who failed to get tickets to a Justin Beiber concert, while Amani Toomer goes on the radio and shuts the New York media the next day with an empatic, "I told you so."
Ok. Maybe I dreamt that last night, but in all seriousness and my totally biased and hopeful prediction- I'm going with 24-20 DALLAS. This game might get a little sloppy (and slippery) due to the weather and poor conditions so I'm expecting a lot of ground and pound which does favor Dallas as they have a better run offense. Of course based on what the Giants had LAST YEAR. If Romo gets sacked 4+ times, the score will be switched. The thing is, they say Romo has been awful against the Giants, but when you dig deeper into the stats he's put up GREAT numbers. It's his defense that fails to pull their weight. With the re-amped defense I'm hoping that changes this year.
HOPE is what we as fans have had even when times have gotten tough for our beloved franchise, and optimism is at a peak unlike previous seasons.
Now, who's ready to run through a brick wall with me?
TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!
