Did DeMarco Murray Blow It?

Did I miss something or could Murray have just kept running straight ahead on his 48 yard run? It seems that he cuts toward the middle of the field for no reason, where if he had just kept going down the sideline, with Dez as his blocker, it would have been an easy TD. I believe that drive ended with a FG, so it did make a difference. Thank goodness they won anyway.
