I don't have a lot to say on this, but I don't want it to be a fanpost (bigham) because I want a lot of comments.
This season, the Cowboys' "question mark" is the O-line. I've heard it at least a hundred times.
My problem--I don't like asking questions without getting answers. And nobody I know has suggested how we are supposed to actually evaluate an O-line.
So each week, I'm going to ask the question, and take a poll on the grade. Please respond in the comments section by telling what affects your grade. How do you weight the penalties? How "good" or "bad" is giving up 2 sacks. If Romo twists and turns and throws a great reception, is that just Romo or do we feel the line should have given him a clearer pocket? If we rush for more than 100 yards, is that an A O-line or is that just Murray?
I'm not finding the "Attach poll" dialogue, sorry--you can just put the grade in your comments, or perhaps the BtB Masters will fix this, along with clearer instructions for dummies like me. . . .
Only one note--no excuses, please. If they turned in a C- effort because they had to call in a Center who had only been with the team a week, that's impressive, that makes me happy, but it's still a C- effort. Don't say "It's a B+, considering that. . . ." That way we can note when/ if they improve and REALLY deliver a B+ performance.
Looking forward to how this develops over the season. . . .
