Latest Dallas Cowboys headlines: The Cowboys ran special practices to get ready for the Eagles, Sean Lee says the defense must "be on point every single snap", and another 2013 draft pick will get his first NFL start on Sunday.

The Cowboys prepared their defense for the pace of the Eagles offense by playing with two scout team offenses during practice: As soon as scout team A finished a play, scout team B rushed to the line for the next play and so on.

"You just simply have them go faster and make sure the ball is snapped in a certain amount of time, and that’s a big part of this game," Garrett said. "They will challenge you with tempo. They challenge everybody with tempo and they run their plays fast. We have to make sure we’re on top of it and when the ball is snapped play the defense we want to play."

The defense must stay sharp through out the game against the Eagles, linebacker Sean Lee said.

"You have to be on point every single snap. We’re at our best when we’re fundamentally sound, doing our job and making plays," Lee said. "We were better last week (vs. Washington) because we made plays when we were in position to make them and we didn’t give up as many big plays as we did in the Denver game. We’re going to have to continue to do that."

Smith has allowed only one sack all season, and has only been flagged for two penalties so far, Watkins writes.

"I feel like I have more knowledge than I did last year," Smith said. "I'm able to read things better than I did last year, that was my goal. I wanted to be smarter on the field. It's experience and getting help where I can and having Brian Waters here when I can," Smith said. "He helps us have the right mind set going into every game and lets [sic] us know some of the things we can kinda look out for every game."

Kyle Wilber gets ready to start - Calvin Watkins, ESPN Dallas
Watkins details the how Wilber has been getting ready for the job at DE, and Demarcus Ware has some nice words for Wilber.

"Last week, when I went down, Wilber went in there and made a big play on a really great tackle," Ware said of Wilber's sack on Trent Williams. "I know he can get out there and play and me just showing him a lot of the things, his confidence level is boosted through the roof so you got to let him keep playing that way and I know he can get the job done."

Joseph Randle set to make first career start vs Eagles - Brandon George, DMN
Travis Frederick has started six games, J.J. Wilcox has started four, and Terrance Williams has started two. Randle will be the fourth player from the 2013 draft class to get a start.
