I don't know why I even bother reading BTB after a loss. All the comments and even some FPW provide little more than venting frustration with little constructive commentary. The majority of the comments blame everybody and anybody they can think of for the loss. Dallas had no turn-overs. Only two penalties (although at the worst time possible and one identical to a first half penalty on the Lions that was picked up). Without the holding call, Dallas would have run the clock down to about 35 seconds before kicking a field goal. Romo took care of the ball. We kept running the ball (what most have called for all season). The defense took the ball away 4 times. At the end both Claiborne and Church were off the field with injuries and two rookies (one just off the practice squad) were in the game. We played without Waters the second half and actually improved pass protection. Yes we gave up a lot of yards but until less than 20 seconds left, it looked like bend don't break was working.
What was more disappointing to me was Brian Billick going off on Dez when he had no idea what was being said. I really get tired of people making stuff up and treating it as if it is fact. Billick concluded that Dez was yelling at everyone because he wasn't getting the ball. See what Romo had to say.
So if you are frustrated imagine the guys that bust their butt all week, have a game won, and then have it slip away. Difference is we get to sit around the rest of week and vent some more. They have to get ready to play the Vikings in what could be a trap game. Frankly, I am disappointed, but I am still proud of this team for its hear and how they work hard for each other from the coaches, to the players, to the training staff and the rest. We are half way done. There is still a long ways to go and the season is still ahead of us. So stay positive folks, it could be worse, you could be in New York, Philly, or DC.
