Skip Bayless: 'I am going Dallas over Denver, 35-33!' - The Landry Hat
Sooo ... Skip Bayless, co-host of ESPN's First Take, is taking the Cowboys to win today. I'll just throw this out there (with the attached video), and leave you guys to figure out what - if anything - this could mean for today's game.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coaches took loss personally - Calvin Watkins, ESPN Dallas
Stephen Jones said the Cowboys defense needs to play better.

"I think they took it personally and I think everybody looked in the mirror and knows if we want to get to where we want to get, then we got to play better defense than that," Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said. "I think we played pretty good defense the first three games and everybody wants to point to the Giants game [because] they threw for a lot. But we did have a nice lead most of that game, and most of that was probably playing with a lead there."

"I just have a lot of confidence that our guys will get this done and everybody has got to step up their game a level, and I think it was a wake-up call for the defense. But at the same time our offense understands this is a big challenge for them and the'yre going to need to score points and we need to play well if we’re going to beat the Broncos."

Cowboys can send a message by simply keeping pace Sunday - Landon Haaf, wfaa.com DFW
For the Cowboys, today's game can be a measuring stick game. They're matched up with the undisputed No. 1 team in the league, with no real expectations of coming away with a win. And simply giving the Broncos a run for their money would be something no team has yet done this season.

Cowboys-Broncos key matchup: Scandrick vs. Welker - Carlos Mendez, Star-Telegram
Mendez believes the Cowboys might decide to keep Scandrick on Wes Welker no matter where Welker lines up.

Denver Broncos-Dallas Cowboys matchup of the day - Jeff Legwold, ESPNDenver
Broncos left tackle Ryan Clady is on injured reserve, and backup Chris Clark now has the task of containing DeMarcus Ware.

The Broncos know Ware is Job No. 1 up front and that Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher and defensive end George Selvie have benefited from the gaps left behind when the protection is shifted to Ware, but Ware is the starting point. Ware has dealt with a back injury of late, but still leads the Cowboys in sacks, with four, while he has played 72 percent of Dallas' snaps on defense thus far.

Five things to watch - Carlos Mendez, Star-Telegram
Mendez offers five things to keep an eye on, among them a way to get to the 37-year old Manning:

"No quarterback is comfortable against middle pressure, even quarterbacks named Peyton Manning. Against outside pressure, a quarterback can step up. That is what the Cowboys want to take away from Manning. He is not going to escape out the back of the pocket and run."

Pondering the 46: Heavy on D again? - Todd Archer, ESPN Dallas
Archer takes his regular Saturday stab at predicting the inactives for Sunday. Three injured players and three inactive O-linemen leave room for only one more, and Archer believes that seventh player will be tight end Andre Smith.

Here's how the 0-4 NY Giants can get back in the hunt in the dreadful NFC East - NY Daily News
If the mediocre Giants can beat the second-rate Eagles on Sunday - and the Cowboys lose to the Broncos - the Giants could move within one game of first place in the NFC East. The article fails to mention that even with a win, the Giants would still be medicore.

Obama suggests Redskins name change; team’s lawyer responds defiantly - SI.com
It's hard to see how the Redskins will ever get out of this one without changing their name.
