Even with this loss, I cannot be even more proud of them than I am right now despite this piss poor pass D. Throughout halftime, I expected the Broncos to just run the score up on them without the Cowboys answering back. I DID NOT EXPECT the Cowboys offense to just awaken from their slumber and the D held their ground JUST ENOUGH to close the scoring gap to give the Cowboys A CHANCE to win the game.
So Romo pissed one away (and now the pundits are back calling Romo a choker again). Well I got news for you all;
I just saved bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. If it weren't for ROMO AND THE OFFENSIVE LINE, we would've been blown out worse than Elol against the Panthers. I don't give a damn Elol has two SB rings, HE DID NOT EARN THEM. That said, I still take Romo all day every day over Elol even with the flaws.
WHAT WE NEED IS THIS, CONTINUITY. Our D wreaks to high heaven right now and most likely throughout this season. Apparently the players are having more trouble grasping the Dallas Deuce 4-3 than we had originally thought. Like everything, it takes TIME. This D WILL BE BETTER NEXT SEASON, but it comes with a hefty price. Our D-line needs a MAJOR makeover as we need to draft a couple of big ones up front for the next few years THAT CAN JUST WALK IN AND START and possibly find another UDFA gem this offseason considering Hatcher, Rat, Spencer, and Hayden are gonna be goners after this season. Ware is finally starting to fall apart. We need to address this very soon if Kiffinelli's D is to be a well-oiled machine. We were counting our starting D-line to be Ware, Hatcher, Rat, and Spencer. If they were all 100% healthy, we would have a damn good D, but it's not happening. Not this year.
We will not string wins until we have a CONSISTENTLY GREAT OFFENSE (which hasn't happened yet), and a CONSISTENTLY GREAT DEFENSE (which hasn't happened either) AT THE SAME TIME. It will not happen this season. We have revamped our Oline, now it's time to revamp our Dline. ONLY THEN we can start stacking good seasons after another.
Now that I have mentioned their flaws, I AM VERY PROUD the Cowboys gave the Broncos a run for their money.
