Hi fellow bloggers:
This is my first fan post, so I thought I would post my idea of a solid draft for the cowboys
It will be assumed that we retain Anthony Spencer before this draft.
-In this scenario we trade picks 18+47 to the Bengals for picks 21+ 37( down in the 1st & up in the 2nd)
Here goes...
1.21 Kawann Short DT Purdue- Gives us a 1 or 3 tech to start in our new D
2.37 Larry Warford RG Kentucky- Immediate interior O-line upgrade
3.80 Tony Jefferson FS Oklahoma- Finally a safety with range and instincts.
4.111 Gerald Hodges Lolb Penn State- We find a solid SAM backer that has a well rounded game and RKG
5.144 Michael Williams TE Alabama- Solid blocking TE with upside
6.175 Spencer Ware HB LSU- Low tred RB prospect with good measurables that could develope into a solid backup for Murray
This draft scenario would provide:
- solid boosts to our interior lines
- A rangy safety that we need for this scheme
- a solution to finalize our linebacking core
- a TE that could be used as a 6th O-linemen
- running back depth with upside
Thanks for your time Cowboys fans. Please give me your opinions and feedback.
