The 9th worst contract in the nfl.

Well i had an OCC moment earlier although mine was rather more of me stumbling across an article on google rather than in the great germans case of having google embedded his my brain.

Anyway the article i speak of was on dallas cowboys.com and it states how the current contract for doug free is currently the 9th worst in the nfl.And went on to state that by designating doug free as a june 1st cut would save 7mill against the cap.

the article its self is available here

http://boards.dallascowboys.com/topic/8791-doug-frees-contract-is-9th-worst-in-the-nfl-6-yrs-48-million/

Anyway it got me thinking-i was a big adversary for going after Eric Winston last offseason, and although it was met with some-shall we say scepticle comments i think we can all agree that based on the season that just passed performances Winston would of been a massive upgrade.

Now gven that Eric Winston just got cut from the chiefs-the 2nd time in 2 years he has been cut,and given that last year he made a little over $3m i think it would be a really prudent move by the fo to pick him up.Offering him a similar deal he was on in kansas city. Now given the $7mill saved by designating doug free a june 1st cut that would provide a $4mill saving at rt whilst providing what i could only call a mssive upgrade.

Now id be all for doing this, especially if they could then use the $4mill saving on louis vasquez at rg.Id feel confident going into the season with a line with winston and tron as tackles and livings and vasquez at guard.

Through in a nice second round selection of Barrett Jones and id be picking romo and murray in my fantasy team next season.
