Williams, he's a future pick, as in when Miles inevitably hurts his hamstrings. I don't see Miles being on the team much longer, and to get his replacement was smart. Especially when that guy was a borderline 1st rounder who fell to the 3rd. The guy can play on the outside. Something I don’t feel comfortable having the smaller Harris or Beasley handle.
Randle, easily a top 5 RB. Always mocked early to mid second round. Steal in the 5th and an obvious need. We have Murray, who hasn’t proved he can play a whole season, and two UDFA's. Do you really trust Tanner or Dunbar to be the lead back if Murray goes down? I don't, we needed a RB and Randle is a Murray clone so the offense doesn't have to change if has to step in.
Wilcox, that was obvious, we need safety help.
Webb, obvious too. And I can see them dumping Scandrick and his big salary if Webb pans out in the next year or two.
Holloman, don’t really know much about the guy. But he looks athletic on his highlights and what more can you expect from a 6th rounder.
Escobar I didn’t understand at first. Loved the player, just didn’t see the need. But it sounds like Dallas is serious about 2 TE sets and running an offense similar to NE. And if that’s the case it makes sense. He’s a lot better at route running and pass catching than Hanna.
As far as wanting more OL help, I agree there and wish we could’ve got a starting caliber RT. But they went so fast and early that Frederick at 31 was the only viable option. Sure we could've picked up more OL in the later rds. But with so many coming off the board early, we would've been drafting JAG projects. We have plenty of those on the roster already.
