There's a noticeable sense of excitement at this time of year. We currently have 89 players on the roster, with a few more also in the mix on a try-out basis. The sheer volume of potential Cowboys is enough that every fan has more than a handful of long-shots to root for.
With that said, the relative lack of news during this time can lead to a lot of fans disconnecting from their teams over the summer. At BTB, we don't do that. We're all about the Cowboys, all of the time. And what are the Cowboys doing this summer? Evaluating talent, and working to build a winning football team.
So why don't you do that, too? Here, we're offering you the opportunity to do just that. The attached roster builder will allow you to whittle down the roster from 89 to 53 players, build a practice squad, change players' positions, and manage the salary cap. A number of you may have used it last year - I hope you're excited to see it once more.
As many of you may know, I'm a Game Design student. The relevance of that is that the skills I've acquired in school allow me to program little gadgets that pertain to the Cowboys. This roster builder is just such a gadget.
At this point in the offseason, there are a number of issues with the data required to complete this project. A number of salary details at this point are projections rather than exact figures, as is our current salary cap information. The roster itself will be in constant flux, and we will be working hard to keep this program up-to-date through the turmoil of the summer roster moves.
If you find any factual inaccuracies in the data, please inform me so that I can correct it.
Finally, I'd like to acknowledge the hard work that my fellow writers put in in compiling new information and updating old information to get this program ready for 2013.
We hope you enjoy using the tool! Click the button below to launch the program (it will open in a new tab/window).

[OCC: To make it easier to find Coty's Interactive Roster Builder, we've added it to the Library section of BTB as illustrated in the screenshot below. You can access the Roster Builder from there at any time without having to search for the specific post it was originally published in.]
