I might be a bit colored when it comes to a conclusion. Bucky Brooks seems to think that Rivers is more likely to win a Super Bowl than Tony Romo based on that he's more "clutch". Throw away the fact that he in the same article has Romo as the best of the two based on "arm talent".
Did Bucky Brooks even watch the San Diego Chargers play the last couple of seasons, let alone Philip Rivers? He has played horribly in comparison to the earlier seasons in which he played like one of the best QBs in the league. At that time he was a sure pick if I had to a top-10 list of QBs in the league. I'm not sure he would make that list based on the last couple of seasons. He seems to be declining.
I don't care if he's playing behind a sub-par offensive line. The last time I checked, the same exact thing was going on in Dallas with Tony Romo. When has he played behind a stable offensive line?
This is not a post to hate on Rivers. It's not a post to hate on Bucky Brooks. He's allowed to have his own opinion. This is not a post to show my love to Tony Romo, either.
Will Tony Romo ever win a Super Bowl? I don't know. Will Rivers do it? I don't know either. There's just no doubt in my mind, that at this point of their careers, Tony Romo is more likely to get over the hump and make a big run in the playoffs.
Dallas Cowboys as a team to me is better than the current team that San Diego Chargers have. On top of that, Tony Romo is the better QB between those two. That should be pretty clear based on the last couple of seasons.
So, who's more likely between Romo and Rivers to win a Super Bowl before their career ends?
