Not Manning, Romo

I heard a bunch in this off season that Tony Romo was going to be more like Peyton Manning in the way he prepares. While most were on board with this, I was hesitant. Let's face it folks, we have a great one in Tony Romo, but he's no Peyton Manning. This is not a dig on Romo, far from it, it's the truth of the matter.

I bring this up to discuss some of what I've seen so far this season. I have no facts or links to share, it's more of a gut feeling I want to discuss. I look at Tony this year and he looks timid. Say what you will of Tony, he has never been timid before. It just looks to me that the pressure of the new contract and "Peyton" responsibilities are weighing on him. It's like he's afraid to fail. In any venture in life, not just football, if you are afraid of failure, a failure is what you will become.

I know it's early and he is probably hurt, so no the sky is not even close to falling, but I for one will be watching Tony closely. I would rather curse him twice a year for being a "gunslinger" than be sad because he won't pull the trigger anymore.

This is my first FP hope I did it right!
