COWBOYS VS.RAMS: Stat-Attack

Greetings Dallas Cowboys fans, and all of you at BTB! I come in peace and as a self-proclaimed aficionado of stats; I wanted to post this article to get the hype going for our upcoming game. First off I didn’t make up these statistical charts they are courtesy of NFL.com and I’ve laboriously cut and pasted them with great care.

I want you to check out the statistics and offer your very own opinions on if they mean diddly-squat or not. I agree with you that stats don’t mean a lot. But for someone like me who likes to see figures it’s the best I can come up with to predict a game’s outcome.

Is it wrong or right...well to be honest you can’t put stats on the human factor so who knows, but it might bring up some insight into how are players have done so far.

If I have offended the powers that be at your blog, please believe that is not my intention or purpose and you are welcome to delete this post if you find it offensive in any way. I just wanted to share what I’ve learned for what’s it is worth, and maybe have a reasonable discussion about what we expect out of those millionaires us fans pay for with our hard earned money.

So that being said...here we go.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

With the week 3 game arriving this Sunday I wanted to do a statistical comparison of the combatants. First we can look at the league standings in the four major areas.

Rams win this battle easily in league ratings overall… by winning 3 areas. The fourth is won by Dallas but by only ½ point in scoring.

The side by side statistical comparison also favors the Rams: 9 to 3 with 3 areas tied.
