No NFL Team Has Ever had 4 Consecutive .500 Seasons. Do We Go Up Or Down?

Many of my closet Cowboy friends feel we may be on the verge of another 5-11 type streak especially if Romo is on the downswing along with the aging stars which have provided hope.

I'm hopeful we'll have a stellar draft on defense and be enough to uplift us assuming our offensive stars stay healthy.

But this is an interesting NFL stat that no NFL team has ever had 4 consecutive .500 seasons as we matched last year a mark the Lions held so this is the year we either go up or down.

And if it does go down then the entire Romo era with 5 consecutive missed playoff seasons may bring the house down calling for at the very least HC changes and possibly drafting our next QB in 2015 finally giving way that the Romo era is complete after 2015 with no extensions or exercising the remaining years of his contract which a playoff season this year could bring.

I believe Romo has provided the core hope of this era enabling Jerry to continue his ways except for the rock bottom 2010 season. Jerry would need new hope for the fanbase.

Curious of other fans thoughts and what does it mean for us moving forward depending on whether we go up or down in 2014?
