It is what it says it is. This is change-up from football.
One thing I did on ESPN.com is make a bunch of brackets (I am d_sel1, altd_sel1, counterd_sel1).
I wanted to test out the various methods of making a bracket. Some of methods (and other similiar methods) I want to use during next football season (or at least those not done by OCC already). Included are two simulators, WhatIfSports.com and PredictionMachine.com. I was not impressed by their brackets. Other methods was computer/mathematical ratings like Pomeroy rating (my personal favorite), Jeff Sagarin computer rankings (done in football by OCC), and several other methods. Something similar to Pomeroy rating, Pythagorean Expectation is very useful in football.
Other brackets include those based on stats (eg rpi), school colors (Am I Blue, etc), and types of animals (cats, dogs, and archosaurs [birds and crocodile]). I even did the BSPN bracket, an intentionally bad bracket, Chalk (higher seeds always win), and fanboy (My own anarchist's dream NCAA Tourney :)).
Also if you have an ESPN.go.com bracket, you are welcome to join the d_sel1 Bracket experiment.
