Well, it didn't keep my formatting, but here is a table of total value of all compensatory picks awarded per team from 2009-2014. I had done this earlier for the five year period 2009-2013 and I added 2014 to it today (thus the odd 6-year time slice).
Dallas was actually 17th in the league as of last year. Even though they received three 7th round picks this year, they dropped to 21st overall over the time period in terms of total value.
I used this chart to determine value.

At first glance, it seems that Dallas is most similar to teams like Indianapolis and the NY Jets. High number of compensatory picks (7-8), but a relatively low average value per pick (~10-11 points).
