I think we've all been wondering what is going to happen to Kyle Orton. Seems he's not that interested in playing for the Cowboys. In a front-page article earlier this week the author suggested we might be able to get something for him. I wondered if Houston (after not prioritizing a QB in the draft) would pony up a 6th rounder next year for him. It helps Dallas in a few ways - we get a late pick next year (maybe conditional up to a 5th or 4th based on playing time) and also lowers his cap hit, which can be pushed into next year. Houston picked up Tom Savage in the 4th, and he could turn out to be ok. But I think there is a decent chance Kyle Orton could beat him out. More importantly, if they think they are in a win-now mode (and Andre Johnson clearly does based on his recent comments) this could be their best bet. Orton takes the reigns for a year until Savage is ready. I'm guessing Johnson would be on board for that.
