That was an incredible catch by Moss
I got a million dollar question
How do you stop Ware?
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:21 PM CST reply actions
well
even on that catch, you see reeves with excellent coverage on a speedy moss
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:21 PM CST reply actions
terrible
wade, he didn't violate his pledge!!!
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:23 PM CST reply actions
OK, credit for holding them to a FG
But quit letting them drive it.
so far washingtons offense has outplayed ours!
But we need to dominate the 4th quarter!
C'mon Cowboys!
That is what is so surprising
and worrying.
We have to step it up a level right now. 5-8 minute drive culminating in a TD is what we need.
question
is tank johnson playing? are any of our defensive tackles playing? haven't heard anybody mentioned

That was a good series by the D
Reeves had good coverage but Moss just had an absolutely incredible catch. Then a bogus call on Ware followed by good coverage and QB pressure.
Nice slant to Hurd
great pick up on 3rd down
There it is...
now it's officially a game, Flo gets a false start
Call the police
T.O. is murdering these guys.
WHAT DID I TELL YALL
throw it to him deep EVERYTIME ON EVERY DRIVE!!!! What a freaking abeaoijajiastt

and the offensive line
and the receivers.
by Dave Halprin on Nov 18, 2007 5:36 PM CST up reply actions
Because Hurd Witten Crayton and Owens
had no part
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:36 PM CST up reply actions
Not really
he needs the Oline to block the WRs to get open and catch the ball.
Duh.
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:36 PM CST up reply actions
and if he hadn't been smart
and threw the ball away when there was nothing there to live and have another play, then he wouldn't of hit Hurd, or witten or T.O for a TD.
Thats what is being smart with the football
it look long enough
but we're finally exploiting the weakness in their secondary like everyone said...
isn't that a penalty
are u allowed to use the goal post in a celebration?
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:37 PM CST up reply actions
our explosive offense
just has a long fuse sometimes
If only...
our D would step up now. Seems like we can't be comfortable on ANY down against these guys. QB throws it wherever and however he pleases...
I wanna see Hamlin step in front of Moss and run it back - LET'S DO IT!!!!!!!!
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 5:37 PM CST reply actions
or better yet turnover
or better yet pick 6!
Jason Campbell
Seems like a pretty legitimate QB. He has a rocket arm and hasn't made any poor decisions with the ball so far.
Lets hope that changes.
Campbell looks like a QB on the rise
by Dave Halprin on Nov 18, 2007 5:41 PM CST up reply actions
I know
by Dave Halprin on Nov 18, 2007 5:42 PM CST up reply actions
Wow, that was so close to the upright
held them to a FG
I'd rather stop them without a score, but trading TDs for FGs isn't bad
Looks like a repeat of the first Giants game...
up and down the field we go!
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 5:44 PM CST reply actions
We have to score again
our D cannot stop them. They give up at least 3 every time.
Let's go guys. Need another drive.
Moss
Wide open on the sideline, Newmann bit on the pump fake. Good thing Campbell didn't see it.
I'll take a 30 second drive
or whatever it was, ending in 7
Terry what do u have to say
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:49 PM CST reply actions
My Lord
T.O. is just freaking me out!
Wow T.O.
is just killing the Skins secondary
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:51 PM CST reply actions
OMG
Romo is playing Xbox Madden with Owens...
UNBELIEVABLE!!!
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 5:51 PM CST reply actions
T.O. has
173 reception yards btw
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 5:52 PM CST reply actions
I love this
but I don't love the time on the clock! I am still uncomfortable.
Did I mention T.O. is on my fantasy team and that I love him?
Yeah...
I still say Washington puts up another TD before it's over.
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 5:53 PM CST up reply actions
You think they might want to cover him?
I keep thinking why waste all those plays in between and just throw Owens the damn ball.
Hey more time left means
more TDs for us. Time to pad the stats and give the skins the drubbing we all want for them.
unreal...
is our real secondary still circling on the plane over Dulles?
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 5:57 PM CST up reply actions
Jason Campbell
Is going through our defense like a smoldering welding iron through butter.
That's a bit worrisome.
how bad is this secondary
wow how ugly was that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by cjr126 on Nov 18, 2007 6:02 PM CST reply actions
Man we can't shake these guys
Campbell is handling his business. We need a clock killer, c'mon offense.
you have to be really worried about this defrense
I dont care how many points we're putting up, our defense has more holes than swiss cheese. Brett Favre must be lickingn his lips when he plays us.
Why is JuJo in there!!!!!!!!!
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:04 PM CST reply actions
there has to be a balance
between running and passing
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:04 PM CST reply actions
i'm afraid to think what favre will do in 2 weeks
if jason campbell looks this good against our secondary with those awful wr's i can only imagine what favre is going to do the week after thanksgiving.
i'm guessing 475 yds & 5 td's
by cjr126 on Nov 18, 2007 6:04 PM CST reply actions
We NEED this 3rd down, badly!
So much for that
by Dave Halprin on Nov 18, 2007 6:06 PM CST up reply actions
Well this can't be good
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:06 PM CST reply actions
Boo
Wrong time for the O-line to crumble.
And Oh expletive, there goes Flo.
Uh oh
that could be really bad for Flo.
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:07 PM CST reply actions
take Roy out of there please wade
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:08 PM CST reply actions
not such a bad thing
i'm in a survival pool with $80,000 at stake & it's down to 88 people & if dallas loses its down to 58.
go washington
by cjr126 on Nov 18, 2007 6:08 PM CST reply actions
specialty teams just as bad as defense
the redskins have had great field position all day.
by cjr126 on Nov 18, 2007 6:09 PM CST reply actions
its about as much as an oxymoron
as there is one
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:11 PM CST up reply actions
We're not getting pressure on Campbell now
we will win this game
31-30
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:11 PM CST reply actions
it better not come down to that
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:12 PM CST up reply actions
just realized
wouldn't washington go for 2
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:13 PM CST up reply actions
When did we rehire Zimmer?
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:11 PM CST reply actions
better start using our timeouts
there's no doubt were giving up a td, so you might as well use your timeouts.
does this game remind you of that monday night disaster 2 years ago.
keep them out of the endzone for most of the game & with 7 minutes to go you let them score twice like it's nothing.
oh well.
by cjr126 on Nov 18, 2007 6:13 PM CST reply actions
T-New!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NEEEEEEWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:15 PM CST reply actions
darn
we have to give them the ball back one more time...
run the ball
don't get cute. just run the ball. cambell can't operate unless he throws over the middle.
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:19 PM CST reply actions
didnt like that decision
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:19 PM CST reply actions
Haaaaail Mary
And #31 gets caught at the 20, looking vacantly at Campbell.
Wooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!11
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:25 PM CST reply actions
FINALLY.
Now, let us never speak of this game...
AGAIN.
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 6:25 PM CST reply actions
What are you talking about?
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:26 PM CST up reply actions

My mistake...
in that case, HILARIOUS!!!! :D
Ok, for real this time.

TEEEEEEEEEEEee
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:30 PM CST up reply actions
so our running game
hope we find it
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:27 PM CST reply actions
Marion Barber
is not an everydown back. I'm glad Jones is getting more chances...
by Longhorn @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:30 PM CST up reply actions
well
that might be the case, but this combination isn't exactly working either. they both need to play better but next year, they need to get rid of jones, maybe give mb3 a modest raise to keep him, and then get draft a feature back.
by ab03 @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:34 PM CST up reply actions
Its not like JuJo did any better
by Burt D @ Blogging The Boys on Nov 18, 2007 6:35 PM CST up reply actions
Thanks goodness for the Romo-Owens connection
Witten definitely helped with 8 for 67, and Hurd and Crayton had two catches each, but otherwise it was all T.O. with 8/173/4 (half his catches were for TDs), without much in the way of a running game or a defense.
okay
now let's see the bills beat the patriots. yeah, right, but one can hope....
Jeez...
I thought the Jets would be a cakewalk, but now - not so sure.
by Pete on Nov 18, 2007 6:39 PM CST reply actions
Yeah
Every one of their games seems to come down to a last-second field goal.
This Was Washington's Playoff Game
And I wasn't that surprised it was close...I'm just glad we won it.
The Redskins are basically out of the division race now, with a 1-3 record, and four games behind us with only six to play. Teams with their back to the wall, against their biggest rival, usually bring everything they have. As bad as we played, we still hung on to win.
A good QB projection system predicted very good things for Jason Campbell, and while his stats were mediocre until the last couple of games, I think we're seeing now why he was so highly regarded. He has a very strong arm, a quick release, mobility in the pocket and doesn't seem to get rattled. I can only hope when we face him again on the final week the game doesn't mean anything.
Whew, and after the Jets beat Pittsburgh, it doesn't look like Thanksgiving is getting any easier.
