No Surprise Green Bay Came Back

This was easier than beating the Jets.  The Packers are a better team than they were playing.

Time to show it once more.

Seems like...

one of the commentators was right - the Cowboys looked like they relaxed a little bit when Favre came out.

by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:05 PM CST up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, the halftime will calm them down

and we will come back out and continue to dominate.  I actually feel kind of bad for Favre, though.

When Favre went down

We seemed to have let up on the gas peddle on offense, the defenses tackling was horrible in the second quarter. We started playing man but Reeves and Jones got picked on so much, big reason why we need another cover corner, Rather have reeves as the fourth corner.
The offensive line is playing absolutely lights out in the first half, thee best half they've played all year.

I agree with what Collinsworth was saying about Green bay, they seemed to get away from what they were doing all year, and Brett was forcing things downfield, but mid to late in the second quarter they seemed to get back what they have been doing all year.

Good return

But c'mon Austin, you have to beat the kicker!

That was interesting....

Thought they might have been more aggressive than that on the 4th down play.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small.

he's the guy that should be open, he's missing him with the easy passes

people might say

that this game doesn't really count cause favre got injured but aaron rodgers has been the better qb today.  mobile, good reads, solid play.

but facing GB with KGB and Woodson is a much different story

Yeah...

So now all we will hear about is that this win should have an "*" next to it.

I'll tell you what

Green Bay's built to last. Rodgers is a pretty good QB. When Favre rides off in the sunset, GB will be fine.

no, I think Romo locked on T.O

too much early and didn't spread it out to his best option witten. I just felt that Romo had so much success early, he wanted to throw for the ig one all the time andjust didn't spread around and short to balance to offense.

11-1

Hell yeah. It was close, it could have gone either way just as most of us suspected, but we got the win. And I don't care what anyone says, it's just as legit a win as any other. Rodgers played well tonight, just as well as Favre would have been.

We made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball tonight but still got the victory. I'll gladly take it.

this one

sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/35003

I think that was a feed from the AFN (Armed Forces Network) though, instead of the actual NFL network one. At any rate, it was extremely choppy.

I started off with the nfl.com one, but they showed the game only 30% of the time, wasn't even worth it.

Echo All Those Comments About O-Line

I've seen Green Bay several times this year, and they have been able to get pressure on everybody.  Kampman has looked fantastic this year, but a hobbled Columbo shut him out.  That o-line performance allowed the passing game to look so good.

by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 10:46 PM CST reply actions   0 recs

exactly

I thought the best quarterback for the packers was the bench warmer Rogers, favre was trying to throw everything deep and was forcing things against the defense, remember that from his old gun slinger, never winning the big one days.
