No Surprise Green Bay Came Back
This was easier than beating the Jets. The Packers are a better team than they were playing.

me too

And Hate Those Ugly Throwback
Uniforms. We seem to lose a lot of games with them on.
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 8:59 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Alright, 2nd half team
Time to show it once more.
by Nelson on Nov 29, 2007 9:00 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Seems like...
one of the commentators was right - the Cowboys looked like they relaxed a little bit when Favre came out.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:05 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, the halftime will calm them down
and we will come back out and continue to dominate. I actually feel kind of bad for Favre, though.
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:01 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nein, Ve Must Pound Zhem Into Ze Ground
Oops, nevermind, I don't root for the Patriots.

Owens in First Half
Had six catches for 147 yards, one TD.
To quote James Brown: "Good God."
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 9:02 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
When Favre went down
We seemed to have let up on the gas peddle on offense, the defenses tackling was horrible in the second quarter. We started playing man but Reeves and Jones got picked on so much, big reason why we need another cover corner, Rather have reeves as the fourth corner.
The offensive line is playing absolutely lights out in the first half, thee best half they've played all year.
I agree with what Collinsworth was saying about Green bay, they seemed to get away from what they were doing all year, and Brett was forcing things downfield, but mid to late in the second quarter they seemed to get back what they have been doing all year.
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Good return
But c'mon Austin, you have to beat the kicker!
by Dave Halprin on Nov 29, 2007 9:10 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
the middle was wide open
O-line on the run blocking!
by scottmaui on Nov 29, 2007 9:11 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
come on boys
let get some high percentage passes on the early downs
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:13 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That was interesting....
Thought they might have been more aggressive than that on the 4th down play.
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 9:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
need a 3 and out
preferably a turnover, will gladly settle for 3 and out though
by Nelson on Nov 29, 2007 9:17 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
brady!!!!
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 9:18 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Could someone post more details?
I'm watching the NFL.com stream and they don't show the whole game....
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:19 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
radio prob...
so i brought my laptop to work to listen to the game on the radio and the feed died at halftime. the ticket's feed is playing drop page radio, while the bone's is playing dead air, any other suggestions?
by MB3fortheTD on Nov 29, 2007 9:20 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
you can watch the game here
http://www.channelsurfing.net/
after it loads, scroll down to packer/cowboys and watch the gamem, or for just sound go here and ascroll down to dallas cowboys and click on KTBB, the ktbb sign, not the website,
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:23 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I dont get that
you have roy coming on the outside from the slot, but you have to have the end crash to the inside to give roy a free run
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:20 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I was relaxing too after Favre went out
But now I'm nervous and need another beer.
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:20 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
HOLY CRAP
Can anyone stop Favre's freakin' backup?!!!
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Basically our pass rush is dead
and Aaron Rodgers is starting to carve us up.
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
MUST MUST
have a stop right here. 3rd and 3
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:23 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
So basically
Favre was trying to win the game by himself, and now Rodgers is basically just acting like a cog in the machine, and Green Bay is rolling...
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:24 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Uh oh
This looks bad
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 9:24 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I can't believe
we are letting a back-up QB spank us like this.
by Philosopher on Nov 29, 2007 9:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
were helping them out with
poor tackling and penalties

Holding
WTF??
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 9:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
No momentum
We are screwed
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 9:26 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
thanks for that uplifting statement
by Burt D on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
We just got worked
Romo better take over now, this is too close for comfort.
by Dave Halprin on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Okay, enough is enough
Romo and TO, wake the hell up and get back to where we were.
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
If GB wins this game...
we're going to have to see these friggin' highlights for 10 whole days.
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Romo will bring us back momentum
This should light a fire under all of them.
by lee3022 on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
damn.
by Nelson on Nov 29, 2007 9:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
the offense has to take back control of the game
by Terry on Nov 29, 2007 9:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
so many things i don't like
terrible blitz calling and stupid penalties
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 9:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
the blitzes were fine
but wither ZRoy took the wrong route or the defenseive end didn't on one of them, Roy ended up running into the backside of the defensive end, one didn't take the right route
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:30 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Romo has to get Witten involved in this game
he's the guy that should be open, he's missing him with the easy passes
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That was just a little frustrating...
penalties.....man.
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 9:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
also
marion barber has to be in there a lot more now. they have to be able to run
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 9:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Bryant Gumbel has the most annoying voice
by Burt D on Nov 29, 2007 9:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Bryant Gumbel's problem
He has an awful voice for play by play and he sounds like he's trying to describe a chess match instead of a football game...
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:31 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
We did put some hits on Rogers
that will begin to show later
by lee3022 on Nov 29, 2007 9:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Since Kampman hit Romo in the End Zone
He's gone 1-4 for 15 yards, no first downs.
Passing offense looks totally out of synch.
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 9:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
come on Dallas, WAKE UP!!!!
you ook completely dopie

we need to do it again.

by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Collingsworth has to be wearing a Packer's jersey
by Wharter on Nov 29, 2007 9:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That was very close, could go either way
awesome catch either way
by scottmaui on Nov 29, 2007 9:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
still a great fingertip catch
by scottmaui on Nov 29, 2007 9:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
well, he DID catch it in purely physical terms
just not in bounds, so it doesn't count.
I still appreciate the grace of being able to grab a ball out of the air like that.
by scottmaui on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
This is a better distance for a TD pass
against these guys
by lee3022 on Nov 29, 2007 9:41 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We better get this yard
by Dave Halprin on Nov 29, 2007 9:42 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

WTF?!?!?!
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 9:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

Did Romo turn into Eli Manning tonight?!
by Pete on Nov 29, 2007 9:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That's why!
You don't put Juicy in on 3rd n short!! GJ Barbarian!
by Doomsday on Nov 29, 2007 9:44 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
oh please, JJ was in on fourth down
we didn't have receivers spread out
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
If T.O blocked out, then Barebr would of scored
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
hmm
i wonder how many receivers block out on inside runs
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 9:46 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Ughhh..
this game is becoming very frustrating to watch..
by sublimezg on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
great game so far, still hold to my prediction
41-34 Cowboys
by BoyzFanCA on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
ok
good long drive but you have to punch it in
AND you have to do it in 3. No more going for it on 4th unless its inches and its a romo sneak
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 9:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That Delay was
because of all the celebrating after the play. Not really Romo, but he should have called a TO. Unless he just didnt want to burn one.
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 9:46 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
too much delay of game
not enough sense of emergency on offense
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:47 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

TO, you may have lost us the game
by Billito on Nov 29, 2007 9:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Well
that is what you call a momentum killer.
The stars are shining for us this half.
Unbelievable.
by Philosopher on Nov 29, 2007 9:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
geez
ok defense. you've had a lot of time to rest. time to step up
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 9:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm still convinced Rodgers can't beat us

They have to find Witten
You can't miss him
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 9:54 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He should of been going to Witten all game
instead of looking deep all the time first
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Come on offense, can you put up some points
for a change
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 9:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Dallas Scores 27 Points
In the first 20 minutes.
Zero points in the last 28 minutes.
Incredible turnaround, but my sense is the worst of the storm is over.
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 9:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

He hooks his shoulder to throw him off balance and that leads to him getting his feet tangled
by Mullin on Nov 29, 2007 10:03 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
YES
He did reach out and grab Austin's shoulder right before the legs got tangled.
by Philosopher on Nov 29, 2007 10:04 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He hooked Austins Arm
that can be enough to decrease his separation

complaining about Folk's kicks now?
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:05 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
people might say
that this game doesn't really count cause favre got injured but aaron rodgers has been the better qb today. mobile, good reads, solid play.
but facing GB with KGB and Woodson is a much different story
by ab03 on Nov 29, 2007 10:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah...
So now all we will hear about is that this win should have an "*" next to it.
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:08 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'll tell you what
Green Bay's built to last. Rodgers is a pretty good QB. When Favre rides off in the sunset, GB will be fine.

Rodgers, that is?
How long has he been around?

three years ago
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 10:10 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

he was a pretty highly rated qb out of college. he's been hiding behind the legend...and he got injured pretty badly

should of been a no contest
after the start we had. Should of been going to witten early and often, not wait until the fourth quarter.

Don't you think going to TO early
opened up the lanes for Witten?

Im getting tired of the pessimism...
Would you rather them just lose?
by Brandon Worley on Nov 29, 2007 10:25 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
no, I think Romo locked on T.O
too much early and didn't spread it out to his best option witten. I just felt that Romo had so much success early, he wanted to throw for the ig one all the time andjust didn't spread around and short to balance to offense.

too bad he couldn't hang onto that last one, though. the worst kind of INT

no, this O-line was dominant
Romo had all day at times no pressure at all on him, no sacks for the game, and I only remember two or three knock downs
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 10:47 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Completely Agree
And the Packers have an excellent pass rush. Great o-line performance, just fantastic.

11-1
Hell yeah. It was close, it could have gone either way just as most of us suspected, but we got the win. And I don't care what anyone says, it's just as legit a win as any other. Rodgers played well tonight, just as well as Favre would have been.
We made a lot of mistakes on both sides of the ball tonight but still got the victory. I'll gladly take it.
11-1!

What a game gentlemen
We are watching one of the best teams the cowboys have ever had and I am cautiously optimistic that we are going to end this year on a super note.

I couldn't watch the game but reading everybody's color comentary ( some more colorful than others!) made it much more bearable. I can't wait to see Grizz's analysis.

Nice result
good adjustments and the run game came through when we really need it. MB3 and the O-line and that Tony guy wasn't bad either.

that live internet feed stunk

NFL.com was too choppy

what channel did u use on sopcast?
by Cal in DC on Nov 29, 2007 10:51 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
this one
sop://broker1.sopcast.com:3912/35003
I think that was a feed from the AFN (Armed Forces Network) though, instead of the actual NFL network one. At any rate, it was extremely choppy.
I started off with the nfl.com one, but they showed the game only 30% of the time, wasn't even worth it.

Echo All Those Comments About O-Line
I've seen Green Bay several times this year, and they have been able to get pressure on everybody. Kampman has looked fantastic this year, but a hobbled Columbo shut him out. That o-line performance allowed the passing game to look so good.
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 10:46 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
exactly
I thought the best quarterback for the packers was the bench warmer Rogers, favre was trying to throw everything deep and was forcing things against the defense, remember that from his old gun slinger, never winning the big one days.
by Deke on Nov 29, 2007 10:49 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He Reverted to His Old Days
In Texas Stadium, when he would just close his eyes and fling it downfield.
Rogers coming in was the best thing that happened for the Packers. He's going to be a good one, and I've thought that for some time.
by kindablue on Nov 29, 2007 10:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yeah, i dont think The packers will have to worry
about finding a replacement for Favre, I thought Rogers really played a great game, certainly didn't get a whole lot of snaps in preparations for this game

pretty entertaining interview with Deion goading him...but sticking to the script, giving credit to everybody: coaches (wade, sherman, Jason Garret), Romo, O-line, defense.
