good call coach....
I guess we'll see what the ruling is
by TrueBlue24 on Dec 16, 2007 3:32 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
have to maintain possession
when you hit the ground
by scottmaui on Dec 16, 2007 3:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
How is knee down and ball still secured
not held onto going to the ground?
by lee3022 on Dec 16, 2007 3:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
its not necessary logical
but thats the rule. they changed it a few years ago but basically if you go to the ground while catching it, you have to secure it throughout the whole thing. just how it is
by ab03 on Dec 16, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
the knee has nothing to do with it
you have to maintain posession throuhgout the catch, thats even after you hit the ground
by Deke on Dec 16, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Two missed opportunities
on the first series.. tighten it up offense

those will be there all day
by Terry on Dec 16, 2007 3:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Knee
was down. So, that should negate everything after..right?
by Longhorn on Dec 16, 2007 3:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Dallas didn't make the catch, and I think that I
heard Troy and Joe Jerk clink glasses.
by Wharter on Dec 16, 2007 3:35 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
nope
have to control it throughout. somewhat of a new rule. but the point is its not a difficult rule and after that other game where he challenged the same thing after the fasano catch, he should know the rule
by ab03 on Dec 16, 2007 3:35 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
can't understand why Sam just didn't bring
the ball into his chest or body right after he made the catch.
by Terry on Dec 16, 2007 3:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
he should have caught it
but easier said that done sometimes

Four Passes for Romo
All four badly off the mark.
by kindablue on Dec 16, 2007 3:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
He does start like that sometimes
but when the defense is playing well, we need to get going and get some points. Put the other team on their heels. Defense is holding up their end, Offense needs to do the same.

You're right
especially close to the playoffs. We need to get going. We had a few games there where we were scoring first drive of the game. We need to get back to that.

coaches are terrible at this. if you're going to take a timeout, just challenge. don't take a timout also. that's just dumb. phillips screwed this up last week too with the witten goal line fumble. even if you know its not a fumble but you want to take a time out, just take the challenge

Romo hasn't looked this bad
since the Buffalo game. Granted he has only thrown one pick so far, but he can't seem to throw to any of our guys either.
Wasted double opportunity there.
by Philosopher on Dec 16, 2007 4:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
alright at least we got some points
with Romo at 2-12, we're lucky to be at this point. D deserves huge credit. And Curtis and Barber for that fumble and recovery.
Romo got to settle down and get his rhythm.

by Terry on Dec 16, 2007 4:30 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

it wasn't a foul. Face guarding rule was changed.

Romo should never of throw that....

Romo
looked like Bledsoe there.
Sigh.
by Philosopher on Dec 16, 2007 4:35 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
okay
this is Jason's fault. Why are they forcing throws to TO when they have him covered. Stupid stupid...
by Longhorn on Dec 16, 2007 4:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
TO is gettin really frustrated..so am I
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 16, 2007 4:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
The Fox crew is right
I hate to say this, but we're trying too hard to force TO into the game.
I know we've got to keep him happy, but throwing picks doesn't help.
by Or Moyal on Dec 16, 2007 4:37 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
No Romo sucks today
you can't put that on redball. Tony is sloppy and including last week's game, we are taking a big step backwards. We need the half time adjustments of a lifetime because this is getting really ugly.

Nice pick play for the TD
sigh, Romo, you going to do it in the 2nd half?
by Dave Halprin on Dec 16, 2007 4:45 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Don't count on it
he doesn't play well with his ladies in the house watching.
Going back to last week, I still think the December curse is in effect. We don't play well in December.
by Philosopher on Dec 16, 2007 4:46 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
And he shouldn't. Just mouthing!
by Wharter on Dec 16, 2007 4:48 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Gotcha ya.
I feel like it too. We haven't looked good or consistent the last 2 weeks. It has me worried.

no way
by Dave Halprin on Dec 16, 2007 4:47 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think the whole team is going to
get reamed by Wade and co. Maybe this horrible first half will wake them up and we can play Dallas Cowboys football and pull out a win. Still, letting these crappy teams hang around is not good practice.
by Billito on Dec 16, 2007 4:48 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
The defense has not been the problem
The better QB by far has been McNabb and we rely on Tony greatly so when he is bad so is the offense.
by lee3022 on Dec 16, 2007 4:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
on a side note
i wouldn't mind if they didn't show jessica simpson again this game. maybe if the nfl network controlled their own broadcasts, we wouldn't get so much of this crap.
by ab03 on Dec 16, 2007 4:52 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
cup half full
Last week we were down even worse than this, and we know what happened.
Last week, the offense played well, and the defense was weak.
This week the defense is playing well, but the offense is weak, or more to the point, Romo stinks.
But the O-line is doing a good job getting him time, and he has shown before how he has struggled in the first half and then found his rhythm in the second half.
by scottmaui on Dec 16, 2007 4:53 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Thank Goodness
We're playing a team with a poor offense, otherwise we'd be losing like 17-3.
Philadelphia's defense is much better than Detroit's, so Romo better shake the fog off or we're going to be 12-2.

This Doesn't Surprise Me
At all...actually, Romo doing his Rex Grossman impersonation has surprised me. Heck that doesn't surprise me, since his hearthrob is in the stadium.
But there is a silver lining. I'd rather we get this stinker out of our system, even if we lose to Philadelphia, than one of our final two games. I think it will help us focus down the stretch, and improve our chances in the playoffs. We'd lose if we started this way against Tampa Bay or Minnesota.
by kindablue on Dec 16, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
well
last year we didn't get things out of our system as much as we just went on a terrible streak.
and as much i like owens, i really don't like the me first yelling he does when they're losing. it definitely doesn't help and probably makes matters worse. your qb is having a bad day, yelling at him won't help.
by ab03 on Dec 16, 2007 4:58 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
OK I'm not kidding!
Get Jessica Simpson the F%^& outta the stadium.
The Iggles defense isn't beating us, it's all on Romo.
Throwing and INT into the end zone is a game changer (even though Barber saved the day and let us still score a FG.
And that crappy throw to TO was forced and against a good CB like Sheppard, WTF?
I told you guys she is lowering his IQ every day they spend together.
by APerfectStar on Dec 16, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Agreed
Romo seemed to be self-conscious early in the game, like he knew she was watching. I don't think it's any coincidence her presence and his play are related.
Remember Christmas and Carrie.
And what bites is neither of those women are all that hot.
