High ankle sprain
It can't be a serious one if he is walking around
collinworth said earlier that Glenn's Knee
is swelling up after he practices, it doesn't sound good for glenn if thats the case.
Drew Rosenhaus
says that T.O. is fine. Cowboys say X-rays negative. could be a high sprain. Maybe MRI tomorrow.
Drew Rosenhaus is at the game
and he told reporters TO is "fine". ALso T. NEw and Rat are playing. GO COWBOYS!!!
Are you sure he didn't say "No Comment?"
LOL!!!
This second half is going to be interesting
Let's see what the Boys have got.

Moore is getting too much time
a ton

That was Killa's 3rd missed tackle
that I've already seen

Under pressure...thank you
Now that's getting pressure
Great return Austin
Nice return Austin!
Maybe I'm a homer but I feel good about Austin and Hurd, even in pressure situations.
BTW
Just wanted to wish all you guys a Happy Holidays and say it has been great blogging with you this Cowboys season.
the last two plays were lame!
I agree on that one Terry
I just wanted to say...
That I am SO glad I found this site, and it is fun talking to you guys during the game, and I am so glad this site is not like a lot of others I've seen. I think you guys know what I mean by that.
Grizz-- have you thought of setting up a chat room?

We should have downed that punt
Punt Didn't Work Out Quite Like We Planned
But it's better than winging at at midfield.
Now Carolina has to drive the length of the field.
we need to stop moore now
and put some pressure on them and maybe have someone cover S Smith
I'm not liking this
we need to put this game away
Killa made a play
Now Bradie is looking at his knee
good pressure by burnette!
Its going to be tough to move the ball
without T.O. against pretty much anyone, running game or no running game.
For us on nfl.com
suffering through these dunce-heads....how are we playing this half vice last half?
I heart MB3
Word
by Dave Halprin on Dec 22, 2007 9:28 PM CST up reply actions
If MB3 doesn't get at least 10 plays
this last quarter, we are crazy. Those passes in the flat are frickin money.
Aaarrggh Romo!
Has Garrett forgot that the plan was to run?
He's calling lots of pass plays...can we not run this half?
we're a passing team now cal!
A Spears sighting
give us some play call...something!
you gifted ones with the vision...let us without know what happened...what did spears do?
blocked a pass at the line
by Dave Halprin on Dec 22, 2007 9:38 PM CST up reply actions
Might of got there a tad early
I'll take it
I don't know,
It looked like he was making a play at the ball, had his head turned back. The cornerback has got to be given a chance. It's difficult enough to play that position with the current rules.

stunned silence
I'm calling out Redball
terrible play calling right there. How in the hell do we not score a TD? Man, I miss TO
when i saw the arrow point backwards on nfl.com
i knew it was ware!!
Here comes the challenge
Yahoooooo
Ooooh Gumball thinks the refs got it wrong
Now we know its a good call if that numbnuts thinks it wasn't.
Man, they won't go away
aweful coverage by T-newman
we need an extended drive
I'd prefer a touchdown
That was a big first down
MBIII
C'mon barbarian...finish'em off
We just picked him up
he wasn't ready for this game, Hoyte is playing

MB3!!!!!
great job staying in bounds
HIGH 5's TO ALL THE BTB'ERS!
13-2 baby!
Sorry all...
Just jumping in here - they're not really expounding on TO's injury - all they said was that it was high ankle sprain - did he look that bad coming off the field?
by Pete on Dec 22, 2007 10:15 PM CST reply actions
He was walking around on it
and smiling and joking, so I'm hoping it's not too bad.
by Dave Halprin on Dec 22, 2007 10:17 PM CST up reply actions
And in all likelihood...
He could have 3 full weeks off to heal it, no?
by Pete on Dec 22, 2007 10:20 PM CST up reply actions
Now its "Dallas Week" here in DC!!
one of my favorite weeks of the year!! I hope GB wins, Skins win, and we come out here to FEDEX and rock their world!! What a great way to end their season, but butting them out of the playoffs!!
Another boob-headed comment by Gumbel
"Dallas has thirteen wins-- they've never been there before."
by MrMojok on Dec 22, 2007 10:22 PM CST reply actions
Did anyone hear Gumby say that...
Steve Smith had 9 CARRIES, when Smith was walking off the field after Hamlin tackled him.
Uh, that's 9 CATCHES/RECEPTIONS, Boobhead Gumbel!!!
Way to hang in Dallas
But I did see shades of Parcells playing not to lose in the 4th Q. The zebra is doing fine, Wade. Don't go changing the stripes now!
We've Now Won
Ten straight road games, dating back to November of last year. I don't know if that's a franchise record, but it's impressive nonetheless.
It Ties the Franchise Record
Record is ten consecutive wins, first set in 1968-69.
Next longest stretch is seven wins, 1993-94.
I know we've got angst about Owen's injury and the fact we didn't blow out the Panthers, but this late in the season, a win is win. I'll take it.
True dat, kindablue.
Unoffical play call count...
... looks like this: Pass attempts - 42, Carries - 37.
Much better than the last two weeks.
Everyone Email the NFL
And tell them Bryant Gumbel is the worst commentator in history.
by jmangell0830 on Dec 22, 2007 10:42 PM CST reply actions
And what about his constant subjectivity...
... on the bad penalty calls.
Although I felt that there were some bad calls that went our way and against Carolina, I think the Color Commentator/Game Analyst (in this case, Cris Collinsworth) should be making those comments -- not the play-by-play guy.
That's the one thing that bothers me about today's TV coverage. You're seeing more TV play-by-play guys provide unsolicited subjectivity on things... guys like Joe Buck, Bryant Gumbel, and now even Al Michaels.
I loved the days of Curt Gowdy, Dick Enberg, Lindsey Nelson, and Don Criqui who would just describe the play-by-play with varying voice inflection... then get out of the way and leave the subjectivity and analysis to the ex-player/ex-coach in the booth with them.
Really don't understand why NFL Network doesn't pull the plug on Bryant Gumbel. He flat-out sucks.
Don't Forget
The two greatest play-by-play announcers in league history, Pat Summerall and Ray Scott. Both very understated in their announcing style, which raised the game to the level of nobility.
Sadly, everyone wants to editorialize now, at the top of their lungs.
How could I forget those two legends?
I hate the fact that he can't tell how many yards
are gained on a play. The player will clearly gain a 1st down, but it seems like Gumbel doesn't want to commit by saying that it's a first.
