MB3 looking at 1,000 yards

MB3 only needs 19 yards to go over 1,000 for the season. I’d like to see him get the individual accomplishment, then get the heck out of the game. The Breerman pens an excellent love-letter to MB3.

Tony Romo and Jason Witten are also chasing some individual marks, but Wade needs to forget about that after a quarter or so and think about the playoffs.

Here’s a fun little fact about the Cowboys defense that I didn’t know.

If the Cowboys can hold Redskins running backs Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts each under 100 yards, it will be the first time the Cowboys haven't allowed a 100-yard rusher for the entire season since 1975.

I love a defense that can stop the run. No wonder we’re 13-2.

The return of WR Terry Glenn (knee) has been a bit like that of Led Zeppelin: lots of speculation, much anticipation, some conjecture, but ultimately an exercise in fact. All signs point to Glenn returning to the field for the first time this season against the Redskins in Week 17.

Anybody who combines the Cowboys and Led Zeppelin into an article is alright by me.

Clinton Portis is having a good year toting the rock. But it was his QB exploits last week that caught my eye. He had a passing TD and a sack in the same game as the Skins ran gadget plays twice with Portis. He explains taking a sack the second time:

"Before that play, the coaches talked to me and said 'If it's not there, go down or throw it out of bounds,"' Portis said. "I knew if I threw it out of bounds, it was going to mess up my passing rating that I acquired over the last six years. I went on and took the sack."

Funny.

The Redskins go into the game relatively healthy for them. Sure they just put another guy on IR, but at least they don’t have a lot of new injuries this week.
