Just wondering about the weather conditions
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:09 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Dallas 28 Washington 21
I think even the backups will do well today.
by Nelson on Dec 30, 2007 3:10 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I think
the backups esp brad johnson will have a good game regardless. I dont think it will be a blowout at all. The redskins are banged up. Also ware and ellis are going to be playing most of the game so have fun todd collins because they are competeing to be the sack leader of the team and leauge

Nice call
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:21 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I dont like how romo is wearing gloves.
I just always found that a qb shouldnt wear gloves.. thats just me
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 3:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
he can grip the ball better with gloves
because he doesn't have huge hands
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:27 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Don't see Glenn
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:25 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

I want to see #83
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 3:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That was a hold
On D Ware
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Well what troy said made sense
it was a bad pass ball didnt get turned around as the wr was trying to run towards the ball
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 3:33 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
WTF
Randle El initiated the contact by grabbing Ball's shoulder. If there is any PI call to be made, it's on Randle El.
by ChrisRichey on Dec 30, 2007 3:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
One view showed Ball getting pushed
by the shoulder by the receiver.
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 3:39 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Ball cost us that TD
get him back on the practice squad
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
the ball was under thrown
give the kid a chance for crying out loud
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 3:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I guess you're the only one allowed
to criticize Deke. If that was Roy you'd be all over him
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That PI penlaty really hurt
Then Henry and Roy run into each other
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 3:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
yeah just like that ryan grant run... poor angles
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 3:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
TJ Duckett
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Yep
He can't even stop the run anymore.
by ChrisRichey on Dec 30, 2007 3:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Portis
I've always thought he was very overrated; He's having a decent season, though.
by Or Moyal on Dec 30, 2007 3:34 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nice kick
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:36 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Think Roy will be back next year?
What's his contract status?
by Doomsday on Dec 30, 2007 3:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I Hope We Don't Mail This One In
We've not looked dominant since the second quarter of the Green Bay game. I do not like going into the playoffs with these poor performances. A team can't just turn on great performances like it's a light switch.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 3:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yikes, Romo
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 3:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
ouch
not an auspicious start for glenn
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 3:39 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
not if he's playing the ball and has inside angle
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 3:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Clean play by Springs
Bad decision by Romo
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 3:41 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
doesn't matter, he's not allowed to run into
Glenn like that.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:42 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yes he is
almost the same play was made by Dallas a few games ago. I don't even recall the details right now, but it was the one that the VP of officiating had on NLF Network videos. He ran into the receiver but was not charged PI because his shoulder was inside and he was going for the ball. It was the play that generated a lot of discussion here and elsewhere about whether PI should be reviewable.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 3:45 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 3:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

by Or Moyal on Dec 30, 2007 3:51 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
keep in mind Ratiff isn't playing
I think Tank Johnson is a little overrated
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:52 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He is not getting a pass rush up the middle
allowing Collins to step up in the pocket and be clear.
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 3:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Dallas 1st quarter
Zero (0) first downs. The offense played horrible that first quarter. They should be embarrassed.
by llutherr on Dec 30, 2007 3:53 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Good Grief
We look sick, like we're just trying to get through it. Look at how the Patriots played last night. Brady was in the whole game.
I do not agree with this 'take the week off' mentality. We go into the playoffs with our tails between our legs.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 3:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
why would they be, this game is meaningless
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
They should be.
In fact they need to be. They need to improve into the playoffs.
by llutherr on Dec 30, 2007 3:58 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
this team hasn't played well
since the first quarter of the packer game
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:00 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Pats were playing for 16-0, big difference!
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
The Patriots Took the Same Approach
During their 14-2 Super Bowl seasons...they played their starters in quote meaningless unquote games, and played hard.
And they didn't go into the playoffs losing or making excuses.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 4:06 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
that looked like the exact same catch
he caught on Reeves in the first game.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 3:56 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Another way to say
we are sucking mightily.
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 3:57 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
yeah atleast have some good of good offensive
drive. I havent seen a good offensive drive in forever.
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 3:58 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Looks like we're getting a better pass rush.
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 3:59 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
We're getting worked here
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 4:01 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nice
this is exactly how i like going into the playoffs, looking absolutely horrible on offense for the past 4-5 weeks...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:02 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
need to hold to a FG here
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:02 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Now it's the offenses turn
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 4:04 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I just hope we don't get shutout
because once Romo and MB3 leave the game, we're not scoring.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:05 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Please guys please
Just one good looking offensive drive for a td then ill be happy
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 4:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I know we really have nothing much to...
... play for, but doesn't it look like most of the guys in the game act lethargic -- esp on offense?
And is it just me, or does it seem like Jacques Reeves has regressed.
I'm legitimately concerned about our secondary right now going into the playoffs.
We have not played consistently well for almost a month...
by kcbrett5 on Dec 30, 2007 4:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I agree witht he lethargic statement
but as far as Reeves goes, I never thought of him as anymore than a fourth corner, he's not a number three or two corner.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:09 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That's why I'd like...
Quality CB & safety play is all that's missing for this to be a better defense next season.
by kcbrett5 on Dec 30, 2007 6:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
maybe that shot to Romo's head
with the football going to break might wake him up
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:07 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Our First First Down!
And Romo bounced the pass three yards in front of Fasano.
Sigh.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 4:10 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Damn
Romo has absolutely no zip on the ball today...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:11 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, i know...
Strong arm QBs can throw in this weather, hopefully the weather will be good in Dallas...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Nope
but he's never been realy fast, just very quick.
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:13 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I know, that statement stunned me too
by Dave Halprin on Dec 30, 2007 4:15 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
what?
It's true. People don't want to believe that though...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:15 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Glenn is one of the fastest WRs in the league
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Glenn is not one of the fastest
But, he is one of the quickest.
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Glenn is one of the rare receivers
in this league that possess quickness and speed.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yeah 4.3 isn't fast Longhorn
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:16 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
yes he does, its documented
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He got taken out
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 4:13 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Remember it's a soaked field
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 4:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
his knee was in
that's a good challenge
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:13 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
maybe this challenge will wake them up
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 4:14 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I hope so
by Nelson on Dec 30, 2007 4:15 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
thats a catch! and a perfect pass btw
one knee equals 2 feet!
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:14 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
a perfect pass would of
been hitting the receiver in stride for a score.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:15 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
he did, like he always does
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:20 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
that one romo should have run
I know he is probably not going to, but he could have had he first down at least
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:19 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
should of ran it romo
pump faking the whole way it always works
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 4:19 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

Romo
should have led Witten a little more there, easy TD...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:20 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:27 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
you guys have to understand
we're a different offense without T.O.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I'm pretty glad this game doesn't mean anything
right about now
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:30 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
sorry to say it..
I don't care if this game is meaningless, The offense looks like crap, and has not been sharp all month....they better pick it up, or it's one and done.....which would be a complete failure of a season in my book.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 4:31 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
this hasn't been the same team sice the first
half of the Packer game. Right now this t5eam couldn't beat the Giants or the packers, IMO.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:32 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
+1
Exactly what i was thinking, ever since the TO drop against Green Bay, this team has looked different...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:35 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I agree Deke...and you can add Seattle to that
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 4:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Cowboys played well against Seattle
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:40 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
that was last year
and as I remember we lost that game!!!!! They were playing with street free agents in their sceondary, one who was with the cowboys, but didn't want to move to safety in Hunter and we still couldn't beat them. This isn't the way you want to play heading into the playoffs, its a very bad sign..
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:44 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
we played well enough to win
we lost because of a fluke play and you know that
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:45 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
they will, playoffs is a whole different world
they'll be ready
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:32 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
cant turn it on like a light swiitch
heard that very same thing in 1998 going into the playoff game against the cardinals, ended up getting shut out at home
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:34 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
different team
they can turn it on and they will
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:36 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and TO will hopefully be back
with Glenn, along with hopefully Rat, Gurode, Newman...
I do think they will come to the playoffs ready to rock and roll.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:37 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
WOAI
Has some good on-field audio today.....too bad the Boys are playing like crap.
by Doomsday on Dec 30, 2007 4:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
now that was agreat play by Roy
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:33 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Maybe Brad Johnson comes in in the 2nd half.
He could use some playing time.
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 4:34 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I know this doesnt matter......
but this is 4 weeks in a row of not playing well.
by HSO on Dec 30, 2007 4:37 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
but it does matter when you are playing
like this
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 4:37 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
T. Glenn?
Please tell me Terry wasn't hurt on that play.
by dlthibo on Dec 30, 2007 4:37 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
He appeared to be ok, maybe they decided
Enough is enough
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 4:41 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think wade should leave everyone in.....
This is pathetic
by HSO on Dec 30, 2007 4:38 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
well nice punt

by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs

Romo has not played well at all since, dump da pig.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 4:40 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
not true, he played well last week
and against the Jets and Packers, and Lions.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:43 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
he dropped that ball
will be overturned
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:42 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Santana Moss
Might be regarded as an elite receiver if he didn't always drop the ball when colliding with the ground.
by Or Moyal on Dec 30, 2007 4:43 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Still don't think we need to draft a CB ???
think again...top priority.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 4:47 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I cannot believe our defense.
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 4:48 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Should have picked Cromartie
instead of Carpenter. Thanks a lot BP.
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:48 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I agree, Carp is a bust
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:49 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
wasn't a need at the time
we were swwitchign to a 3-4 defense and didn't know if Ellis could play that position, thats why Carpenter was the pick, very logical choice at the time.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:53 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
this reminds me of a game a few years back
under the same weather conditions when we played against the Skins and Emmitt Smith needed like 55 yards to get to 1000 for the season and the team completely laid an egg and was blown out.
I thought dallas would close up shop early and the Skins would win easily, but I thought dallas would have a couple good series, but I guess not.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 4:51 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and we went on to win the SB
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:53 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
we also got blown out by skins in 92
the last game and came out and played great in playoffs and won the SB
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think Emmitt had 25 yards for the game
missed 1000 for the season, it was Campo's last game as the headcoach

Dave Campo's Last Game
as Cowboys head coach, in 2002.
This game has the same resigned, depressing feel to it, like there's no way we'll win.

NO
Not great, but definitely not utter despair. Several key starters not playing, playing conservatively to avoid injury, Washington playing with their season on the line, defense is making some good plays...

We looked great against CAR until TO got hurt
by Mullin on Dec 30, 2007 4:49 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
thats true, we would have blown out Carolina
if T.O. doesn't get hurt.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:51 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
This game is
Our starters against their starters.
.
.
.
Yes, I'm concerned for the playoffs.
by llutherr on Dec 30, 2007 4:49 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
not true, we have 5 starters out
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:51 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Due to injuries
And they have how many out due to injuries? At least five.
by llutherr on Dec 30, 2007 4:57 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
so are the starters done? Id like to see them
stay in
by thebigham on Dec 30, 2007 4:50 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Bright Side
Brad Johnson should be in to mop up in the 2nd half.
by Doomsday on Dec 30, 2007 4:50 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
we should have blown carolina away a rookie qb
Had them in the game until the end and steve smith made our corners look bad.
by jvw on Dec 30, 2007 4:52 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
T.O.got hurt and we're a different team w/o him
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 4:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Wow
it's unbelievable that these Refs still don't know the rules, pathetic...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:52 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I would have gone for the kick
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Offense
The offense is what I have a problem with. The play calling is suspect. I hope they went vanilla once we wraped up the division and are saving the new plays oh no is he hurt!!!!!!!!
by jvw on Dec 30, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Romo
needs to go take a shower, that was stupid to run around in the pocket like that...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 4:54 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
If Garrett clled for a pass play instead
of a FG attempt, he's welcome to join Parcells.
by Wharter on Dec 30, 2007 4:56 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
not good.
I understand we're without 5 starters, but damn. We don't look good at all.
by Nelson on Dec 30, 2007 4:59 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
if you guys think we looked bad in 1st half
wait til Johnson plays in second.
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:00 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Well
he doesn't have TO, so probably look the same...
by Longhorn on Dec 30, 2007 5:05 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
One game and out
The way this team is playing, I see one playoff game and then we are out.
by Sasquatch on Dec 30, 2007 5:01 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
And What Scares Me, Besides the Last Month
...is Wade Phillips has never won a playoff game. He's always had a good regular season record, but he's never won in the playoffs. This is a young team, and I'm officially worried.
by kindablue on Dec 30, 2007 5:03 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Special Teams under Wade
Don't look good either. This year's team included, we haven't improved from last year but we've had a few good players carry the load.
by Doomsday on Dec 30, 2007 5:07 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
thats ridiculous, our offense will come alive
in playoffs
by Terry on Dec 30, 2007 5:10 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Oh, Really?
...and what in the last month makes you think that is going to happen?
by Sasquatch on Dec 30, 2007 5:28 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Sad - just sad
Julius Jones 4 rushes = 5 yards
Marion Barber III 5 rushes for -2 yards
Roy Williams missed tackles = several
Jason Witten catches 1 of 4 = 8 yards
Tony Romo 6 completions = 70 yards, sacked, intercepted
Analysis: Offense sucks, defense almost sucks
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 5:03 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
At least
Brad won't care if Jessica sees him screw up. He might just salvage this game.
by Doomsday on Dec 30, 2007 5:03 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Starters should stay on bench..
Not because we want to rest them, or protect from injury...it's because their aweful play warrants it.
I feel we probably have a better chance to win with Brad Johnson in the game.,,,never thought i'd say that.
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:03 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Hey - Brad is as good
as Todd Freaking Collins!
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 5:05 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
hope those benches aren't made of wood
some of the players might get injured by splinters and miss a couple of weeks.
by Deke on Dec 30, 2007 5:06 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
we'll be much worse with Johnson

romo still playing
i don't like it.
by scottmaui on Dec 30, 2007 5:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I think the fact that the starters
and not expected back is what is discouraging because we do not expect the subs to make up 13 point deficit.
by lee3022 on Dec 30, 2007 5:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
good...keep ROMO in to make ammends for poor play
by BoyzRback07 on Dec 30, 2007 5:08 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
