rush
i'm really wanting to see a successful pass rush, being that the colts have one of the more solid OLines in the league, if we can get some pressure on the QB i will be pretty excited about the new scheme and whats to come

Dude
sorry. Didn't bring the laptop home, so I had to choose between TV and internet. Guess I'll have to start the laptop habit this season.
Battle wasn't able to do anything great, but by the time MBIII and TT relinquished the field, the O-line was made up of waterboys and three volunteers from the audience. He runs hard, but didn't do anything that really stood out. The upside is, the running game overall was a little on the weak side.

Good? Bad?

I know
The equipment manager is now on the bubble. He better come through next week.

Who is his replacement
I hope hes on the bench
by DCBOYZ on Aug 9, 2007 7:50 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Offense looks solid
we just need to find a way to finish these drives with 7 instead of 3.
by Philosopher on Aug 9, 2007 7:46 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Thats a product
Of not having your best blocking tightend and your starting WRs in the game.
Still like the possession style O, Im a positive that Romo is gone now though. He looked pretty good, no bad decisions.

I thought we were going to be movin people around and stuff
by DCBOYZ on Aug 9, 2007 7:54 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
He's short
good play on 4th down
by Dave Halprin on Aug 9, 2007 7:55 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
That drive wasn't very Romo-like
Old man river likes to dink and dunk.
See Romo's stats? 10 for 11, 6 different receivers. Like it.
by Dave Halprin on Aug 9, 2007 8:00 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
absolutely
I think he would have went deep more, but the cover 2 won't allow it.
by Terry on Aug 9, 2007 8:02 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

Crayton was looking good
in training camp throwing mock punts....lets just make him the backup!!!!
by Jordan2 on Aug 9, 2007 8:14 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
Now correct me if Im wrong
But it seemed like that was a catch, and a pretty good one on an underthrown (big surprise) ball.
Id like to know why it wasn't reviewed.
by Brandon Worley on Aug 9, 2007 8:21 PM CDT reply actions 0 recs
it was a drop
clearly!
by DatingCowboysCheerleader on Aug 9, 2007 8:23 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs

I am a lurker no more
I have been following this blog for a good long time. I can tell you how much I appreciate all of Grizz's hard work and insight and the intelligent discussion of some true Cowboy faithful. I look forward to adding my thoughts from time to time.
My reaction to tonight's game: I have been very pleased witht he execution tonight on both sides of the ball. No noticable mental breakdowns. There is an overal sharpness. Only disappointment has been in kick and punt coverage. Honestly, if that is the only thing you can complain about in the first preseason game, you are doing OK.

Only the tip of the iceberg
for what the 3-4 defense will show against the NYG in the season opener. The other Manning, be WARE.

Nice job on the open thread guys
We topped 100 comments, which isn't bad for the first preseason game. During the year, we'll hit 400 to 500 comments on an open thread easily.
