Sam Hurd!

He is going to light up the colts secondary.

rush

i'm really wanting to see a successful pass rush, being that the colts have one of the more solid OLines in the league, if we can get some pressure on the QB i will be pretty excited about the new scheme and whats to come

Little Help

Hey fill me in on the play by play whenever you can, I can't see the or find a decent play by play on the web.

by Jordan2 on Aug 9, 2007 7:03 PM CDT reply actions

On
nfl.com you can view the results of all the plays. Just go to the scores and game center. I don't believe you can listen to it or anything online though.

Can't watch I'm at work

Guys,  I am at work so can't watch.  I'll be checking in here whenever I can.

Someone(Dunkman?)  please keep your eye on Jackie Battle for me...my pet cat

Go COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dude

sorry. Didn't bring the laptop home, so I had to choose between TV and internet. Guess I'll have to start the laptop habit this season.

Battle wasn't able to do anything great, but by the time MBIII and TT relinquished the field, the O-line was made up of waterboys and three volunteers from the audience. He runs hard, but didn't do anything that really stood out. The upside is, the running game overall was a little on the weak side.

Here we go

Thompson to the 20, we're off and running

would like the TD, but the offense was dominant.

i'm predicting something explosive, but i'll settle for a three and out

I'm thinking we should give Manning some more time to throw the football...ack.

Who is his replacement

I hope hes on the bench

by DCBOYZ on Aug 9, 2007 7:50 PM CDT up reply actions

Offense looks solid

we just need to find a way to finish these drives with 7 instead of 3.

by Philosopher on Aug 9, 2007 7:46 PM CDT reply actions

Thats a product

Of not having your best blocking tightend and your starting WRs in the game.

Still like the possession style O, Im a positive that Romo is gone now though.  He looked pretty good, no bad decisions.

You find out life's this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game - life or football - the margin for error is so small.

That drive wasn't very Romo-like

Old man river likes to dink and dunk.

See Romo's stats? 10 for 11, 6 different receivers. Like it.

by Jordan2 on Aug 9, 2007 8:14 PM CDT reply actions

Now correct me if Im wrong

But it seemed like that was a catch, and a pretty good one on an underthrown (big surprise) ball.

Id like to know why it wasn't reviewed.

I am a lurker no more

I have been following this blog for a good long time.  I can tell you how much I appreciate all of Grizz's hard work and insight and the intelligent discussion of  some true Cowboy faithful.  I look forward to adding my thoughts from time to time.

My reaction to tonight's game:  I have been very pleased witht he execution tonight on both sides of the ball.  No noticable mental breakdowns.  There is an overal sharpness.  Only disappointment has been in kick and punt coverage.  Honestly, if that is the only thing you can complain about in the first preseason game, you are doing OK.

for what the 3-4 defense  will show against the NYG in the season opener. The other Manning, be WARE.

Nice job on the open thread guys

We topped 100 comments, which isn't bad for the first preseason game. During the year, we'll hit 400 to 500 comments on an open thread easily.
