wade phillips

lets see how he adjusts during the half

1st half defense was pretty sad

by bkcowboy on Sep 9, 2007 8:55 PM CDT   0 recs

No real improvement

over last year's team. No pass rush and no secondary.

It is just depressing because I watched two premier defenses play this afternoon: Chicago and San Diego. I realize now we aren't even in the same universe as those two teams. We have so far to go.

by Philosopher on Sep 9, 2007 8:57 PM CDT   0 recs

I totally agree

We play the bears in two weeks, that very well could be a very very ugly game for us

by Deke on Sep 9, 2007 8:58 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Not quite ...

Unless I'm mistaken (and I'm not), their QB is still Rex Grossman. I'm not worried.

I agree that our defense does not compare to

SD or the Bears right now, but the Bears offense is still no prize.

by theavner on Sep 9, 2007 8:59 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

No Newman

makes a big difference. I think Wade is limited because of Newman not being in there. We can be as good

by Cowboys81 on Sep 9, 2007 9:01 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

our defense isn't even in the same sentence

as the bears, they are dominant.

by Deke on Sep 9, 2007 9:02 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

Again, I'll say it ...

Look for T.O. to be targeted early and often next half. I bet he's pissed.

I went to get some milk on the break . . .

And there were pictures of TO, Spears, Canty, Spencer and other various Cowboys on the carton!  That was weird.. . .

I want a Corner with Cleveland's pick

I don't care if Jesus Christ himself declares for the draft... I want a bleeding corner!!!

Ware??

Where is Ware???

by shaq48 on Sep 9, 2007 8:58 PM CDT   0 recs

let them take TO out of the game and keep going

to Witten for all I care.  I would rather see sustained drives with this defense.  The only problem with that is  that TO will start to whine and be "distracting".

very poor 1st half

defense did not look any different. t.o. wasnt involved at all.

by nerfinator39 on Sep 9, 2007 9:01 PM CDT   0 recs

Blitzing

We have to be the worst blitzing team ever...our blitz never gets there. I'm amazed that we can't blitz and get to the QB

by shaq48 on Sep 9, 2007 9:04 PM CDT   0 recs

I told everyone that our offense

would have to win games early on without Ellis and Newman, and now Fergy.

Yay!

Nice hands, Owens. Keep him happy, keep him productive.

With the D lackluster, we need all our weapons oiled and ready.

act like you've done it b4

by bkcowboy on Sep 9, 2007 9:12 PM CDT   0 recs

it just goes to show how bad NY is.

We are not playing well as a whole, but still dominating.  Now we'll see if any adjustments were made for the D at halftime.

It's about time they got TO involved, but...

I loved the balance on that drive with Red Ball calling more effective run plays to set up the pass.

did spears just try to take credit for ratliff's

sack.

Ratliff is a bright point tonight.

Roy did nothing on the last blitz.

I never thought I'd say this

Eli Manning is picking us apart

by Deke on Sep 9, 2007 9:20 PM CDT   0 recs

This is just a joke

Even Rex Grossman will pick us apart.

I don't know what to say. We cannot stop teams that want to throw on us.

by Philosopher on Sep 9, 2007 9:20 PM CDT   0 recs

Listen

Giants fans think they have played well, Cowboys fans are not happy with them and what is the score? Get off this blog if your not with the Cowboys because we are worried about bigger things

You hate us cuz you ain't us

Like our corners?

It is about to be 24-23

That's in your face ...

Reeves definitely saved that TD.

Yeah

Next two series he will give up a long pass play and a TD.

What he gives, he takes away.

Was Burress

Just looking for a flag? It deflected off his hands ... what's his angle?

Ol Jacque does look like he's gaining a lil more

confidence on those last two breakups.

Burress before he gets off the LOS

me or is Reeves out playing Henry??

by Cowboys81 on Sep 9, 2007 9:24 PM CDT   0 recs

Burress might be inducted in HOF tonight

he's well on his way to 200 yards....our corners are making him look all-pro....

Peyton

is there anything this guy WONT endorse...sheesh it is ridiculous.

Overall - Romo has looked a little shaky. I hope

that last series turns things around

Long Live Teague - the defender of the STAR

by ibleed blue on Sep 9, 2007 9:25 PM CDT   0 recs

I don't get it either

Spears can't get there. Spencer is still learning the ropes.

We need the Greg Ellis of early last season.

by Philosopher on Sep 9, 2007 9:25 PM CDT   0 recs

you guys are going to have to accept

our defense is not going to look good until we get healthy, until then Tony and the O will win for us.

In Romo we Trust

by Terry on Sep 9, 2007 9:25 PM CDT   0 recs

I won't accept that

not with all the money and first round draft picks we have put into this defense.

by Philosopher on Sep 9, 2007 9:26 PM CDT to parent up   0 recs

No

If we had a pass rush, our secondary could get a break.

Spears isn't hurt. Hatcher isn't hurt. Carpenter isn't hurt.

These guys need to play like the players they are supposed to be.

i hate the new Manning commercial - whats up with

the dolphins?????

I love the merriman / S Jackson commercial.  I'd rather it be ware and S Jackson in a cowboys uni though

Romo just got my respect...

...by tucking it in and taking the sac instead of pulling a Favre

by frisco3 on Sep 9, 2007 9:29 PM CDT   0 recs

Why can't we get any consistent...

big yardage plays on first down?

To me that series was lost on the first down call.

I think he's starting to learn...

from last year to take better care of the ball -- especially when there's nothing there.

C'mon "D," gotta get us the ball back... or create a turnover & score a TD!!!
