Cowboys vs. Giants: Reading material

Like I said, I’m running out of things to say about this game. So go read this stuff.

The DMN blog has lots of fun stuff today.

T.O. practiced today, and looked good.

More pundits picking against us.

Dr. Z hatin’ on Romo. (not really, just mildly chastising)

Random scouting report.

Julius gets squeezed.

New York writer on the game.

Another generic write-up.

It's not surprising that "Meshawn" would choose

the Giants over the 'Boys; but Ditka? Come on, Mike.

I'm not always a Galloway fan but...

I loved his article on Romo and the game. Not that any Cowboys fan was buying into the "December Slump" theory or the "Jessica Juju" crap, but Galloway gives us what we can't have ourselves... a look at how Tony is doing as he preares to play.

Two reasons you should maybe feel better about the Cowboys' chances on Sunday, which, admittedly, is a weird thing to say about a team that's a 7 1/2 -point favorite:

(1) Tony Romo became his cool-hand self again this week in the locker room.

(2) A flashback this week to the name of Eldorado Owens' personal physician. Man, this doctor is good.

and

Immediately after the Carolina game, there was a hint of whining (this involved the Jessica I turmoil from the loss to the Eagles) and, after the mess in Washington, there was hint of excuse-making.

This week, however, Tony was back to being Tony.

My apologies if this has already been posted and commented on. I can't keep up with a blog as popular as BTB...

Julius Jones....
Julius has been stufffed as much as all the Thankgiving turkeys in Dallas were.

He couldn't start on any team that features a strong running game.   Barber, on the other hand, is a hard-nosed, tough ass runner that knows how to finish off a run.

As a Giants fan I hope Julius gets a lot of playing time because, at least to my untrained eyes, he seems like much less of a threat.

Count on seeing a lot of Barber

Not much JuJo. Your eyes are well trained, as Dallas fans have been chiming all season for more MB3.

i would'nt be suprised to see barber, glenn, and T.O. start the game, switch it up....

Samsung's "Defining Moment" predicts that the Cowboys will lose on Sunday.

I've criticized Samsung's "Defining Moment" ever since it predicted that the Cowboys would lose to the Green Bay Packers--posted after the game the Cowboys won!

After Sunday, Tony Romo Will Have Alot Of Time To Sunbathe

No way the NFL Playoffs can stick to the chalk, can they? In a word no, which means I am taking the Giants. Every year there is a team that barely gets in, but when they do they get on a roll. The Steelers rode that wave to a Super Bowl title in 2005, winning 3 road games on their way to winning Super Bowl XL. I know, painful memories. I’m not saying the Giants are going to go that far, but they have all the ingredients to make a serious run. They have alot of talent on defense with arguably the best front-four in the League, and most importantly and hot quarterback. I openly questioned the Giants motivation for playing their starters 4-hard quarters against the Patriots. Color me corrected. The Giants learned alot about themselves and their quarterback, even in defeat, and it showed against the Buccaneers last week. Meanwhile, in Club Phillips, Tony Romo is vacationing with his hoochie-mama in Mexico, preparing for the biggest game in his career I’m sure, and Terrell Owens is hobbled. Lest we forget, the Cowboys haven’t won a playoff game since the mid-90’s and have a home-playoff loss to the Arizona Cardinals in more recent history. They have had a great season, but if they lose this weekend it will be for nothing. Without Owens at 100%, the gaping hoples that Jason Witten has enjoyed all season won’t be there. The Giants will also look to smack Romo every chance they get. It’s the perfect storm, of sorts, for the Giants. They are rolling, the Cowboys are reeling, and oh yea, did I mention how hard it is to beat a team 3 times in the same season? Too hard for the Cowboys.

Many interesting comments

in that write up, a couple that struck me. 1) What legitimate analyst calls someone a hoochie mama 2) He is going back to 1990 for a reference, but yet week one and ten mean nothing? 3) Hard to beat a team 3 times, the stats show the exact opposite, that you are more likely to win the third. 4)The Giants didn't barely make it in the playoffs, they had to win one of their last, what 5 games to clinch a spot. Oh well, that about sums up what I think about that guy.

First to six!!!
