I Think So, Too
Jacksonville might well be the third best team in the AFC. They can give the Patriots fits.

I like our chances against either TB/NYG

me too

absolutely Mullin, it really shouldn't be a game
against either opponenet if we come to play which I fully expect we will.

Unless T.O. doesn't play
by Mullin on Jan 5, 2008 7:08 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and I'd be absolutely stunned if he doesn't

God. I hate the Steelers and their fans
Go Jags!
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 7:06 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
My best friend is a Steelers fan
We both started watching football around 76 when Dallas and Pittsburg were both dominant teams, so even though I used to think of them as a major rival, now I find myself rooting for them, and my friend roots for Dallas, all else being equal.

Redskins Season Over!
Never ever gets old watching Washington lose! All the more sweet if it comes in a playoff game. I'd like our road to the Super Bowl to be Tampa Bay next week, then Seattle the week after if they can pull off the upset at Green Bay next week.

that sounds pretty good

MJD with a great return
by Mullin on Jan 5, 2008 7:29 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
very nice run
not great speed, but some good moves
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 7:30 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Man just wait
until the Jags get their offense going. Nice runback.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 8:09 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I remember when Del Rio played LB for Dallas.
Quite a headhunter!

Today is a Pick-6 free-for-all
by Nelson on Jan 5, 2008 8:13 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
another Roth pick by Mathis

Man Big Ben
big blows. What a terrible pass into double coverage!
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 8:14 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
not the hair
that is an odd rule.

MJD TD

Did Jac
just run on 9 guys in the box? For 8 yards?
by GhettoBear04 on Jan 5, 2008 8:28 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
HA!
Thanks Al and John for answering my question! So helpful...

I hope Pitt scores now
just to keep the game interesting
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 8:37 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Roethlisberger is sooo overrated
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 8:46 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Nope
Roth is a great QB. Look at his record, check his stats and notice his ring. And when that fails, watch him play. He's a great pro QB.
Tonight he is forced to try to do too much. That's Pitt's only hope. Unfortunately, the Jags are too much for them tonight.
by llutherr on Jan 5, 2008 8:53 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I disagree, he's not that good
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 8:55 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
He's a great QB
when he has a strong running game. He is not a Favre type who can take the game on his shoulders and pull out the win.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 8:58 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Agreed
He's a very good QB about on the level of Romo. He's hampered by the injury to Willie Parker, but when his team is healthy, he's one of the best in the league.
by kindablue on Jan 5, 2008 9:02 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
no way
Romo is a much better qb than Big Ben, its not even close.
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:05 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Romo is much more accurate of a passer
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:14 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
they are somewhat similar
in how they can elude sacks and extend the play with their legs and throws, but Ben does it more through strength and Tony more through dexterity. Bed has his off nights, but overall I think he's among the best.
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 9:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
and Ben is more dangerous as a scrambler
because of his size and strength
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 9:21 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Much More?
Roethlisberger and Romo have comparable career completion percentages, and Ben was higher than Romo this year.
Saying Romo is much more accurate is just nonsense.
by kindablue on Jan 5, 2008 10:52 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
whos got the ring ????????
you can say that after Romo get one
by Arkcowboys on Jan 5, 2008 9:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Ben got his ring inspite of his bad play
in SB XL. Worst qb rating ever by a SB winning qb. Steelers definitely won that SB in spite of him.
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:21 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
They are putting the game
in Roethlisberger's hands now, and he isn't doing well.
by DaveTroll on Jan 5, 2008 9:25 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
exactly my point
Romo can put the team on his shoulders and win, Ben can't. He needs a great defense and running game to succeed.
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:26 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
That's what I'm talking about Terry
Romo can put the team on his shoulders and win
He has got to do that in the playoffs to be the QB we all believe he is.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 9:29 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Romo is a much better player when he's on
but because he is still young and hasn't proven himself in the playoffs, he still leaves some doubt about how he'll do in the really big games. I love Romo and have a lot of faith in him but just from the parallels of this season and last season as far as fading down the stretch, I am nervous about next week's game. Terry, you have amazing faith in Romo and you have been right most of the time but I am just not there yet. Let's hope we are singing Romo and the Cowboy's praises through early february.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 9:10 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
I have to say
I am very impressed with Garrard and especially playing this well in a road playoff game.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 9:16 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
.
Garrard is in my top 5 with Manning, Brady, Romo, and Roth.
These guys can flat play.
But Romo is my fav ... thus the most exciting by rule!
by llutherr on Jan 5, 2008 9:17 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I'd rank Favre over Ben and Garrard
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:20 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
garrard is more careful with the ball than favre
he's not going to make the big mistake....
but favre has the experience edge...
by Tuna Helper on Jan 5, 2008 9:25 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Favre is a big time playmaker, Garrard isn't
by Terry on Jan 5, 2008 9:27 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
Jags keep playing like this,
they will be the team that no one wants to play.
by DaveTroll on Jan 5, 2008 9:18 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs
I think they already may be
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 9:19 PM CST up reply actions 0 recs

TD Pitt
Good, at least they're still in the game for the fourth quarter, for now...
by scottmaui on Jan 5, 2008 9:32 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
That was a burly drive
but they need to stop MJD before they get excited.
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 9:34 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Wow, I guess Garrard and the jags
aren't quite ready for the big time. What a horrible pass!
by Billito on Jan 5, 2008 9:57 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
Steelers making a game of it
and can take the lead.
by DaveTroll on Jan 5, 2008 9:57 PM CST reply actions 0 recs
