T.O. injury rehab is in high gear
Nobody works harder than T.O. to get his body ready for games.
Hat tip to Doomsday for this snippet from a JJT article:
He works harder to get restore his body than he does when he's on the practice field. He went through rehab on Christmas Day. And New Year's Day. He's been working after hours on the Mavericks' underwater treadmill, which allows him to condition without putting stress on his ankle. He spends virtually every waking hour trying to get his ankle healthy enough to play and be the difference-maker the Cowboys need him to be to end their 10-year playoff drought.
And there’s also Matt Mosley’s post:
In addition to spending time in his hyperbaric chamber, T.O. has been using the Dallas Mavericks' underwater treadmill.
He's undergoing some form of treatment almost every minute of the day. The people I've talked to at Valley Ranch think he'll be at about 80 percent for the Giants game.
Also, thanks to Mr. Mosley for recognizing Blogging the Boys in his Unfit for Print edition of blog roundups. BTB got the nod for the Scouting Report on the Giants defense.
Later tonight, I’ll have a scouting report from ETVal, the blogger at Big Blue View, on the Giants. I’ll also give him one for his blog on the Cowboys.
Update [2008-1-9 13:59:26 by Dave Halprin (Grizz)]: Hat tip to Terry for posting this bit from the always excellent Breerman over at the DMN blog:
Funny thing happened in the locker room today. All of a sudden, the players were concerned about Terrell Owens' ability to play Sunday -- Smokescreen, anyone? -- two days after declaring him fit and ready to go.
Looks a lot to me like a campaign to create uncertainty around T.O. He's playing, folks. Period.
On another note, we did catch Owens right outside the locker room, where he was conducting a one-on-one interview with a female reporter from TV Azteca, while steering clear of the local press. Owens was in workout gear, with no tape or brace of any kind around his left ankle.

All quiet on the Glenn front?
Although it's good to know T.O.'s rehab is progressing well, there seems to be a lull on the Glenn updates. After teasing us for a whole season, I want to know how much better he's gotten since the Skins game.
Does he still have his straight-line speed? Can he run in and out routes with fluency? How much of a difference can he make on Sunday? Is he going to get the start over Crayton?
Inquiring minds want to know!

Good point Timmy...
I haven't heard much about Glenn. Could be, as someone said earlier, an X factor for us. If he's near 100%, he has scary speed and could really wreak havoc on the Giant's supspect secondary. I'll do some more digging...
People say Glenn will do nothing
B/c of the Redskins game... But that was in the pouring rain..
Hopefully those "people" are the Giants...
... that way, Red Ball can unleash the speed half of TNT this Sunday and surprise the New York "D" out of their jocks... hopefully.
Our O-line has got to control the line of scrimmage.
Here's what the DMN has to say about Glenn
Cowboys WR Terry Glenn was listed as a "full" participant in today's practice, and he was almost all that. "Terry Glenn participated in practice, more than limited, I would say," is the way coach Wade Phillips put it.
Today marked several firsts for the Buckeye alum. It was the first time he's put pads on for a practice since summer. It was the first time he's taken part in team drills since then. And as such, it may be OK to think he may be ready for another first-since-September on Sunday: His first catch.
"Whatever you get from Terry is a bonus certainly," Phillips said. "He’s a very good player that’s been hurt and has tried to come back and has made a valiant effort and I think he may be able to play. Anything we can get would be a bonus for us."
I have a very good feeling
Some of the stuff we're hearing about the TO injury is to divert attention from the fact that TG is ready to rock. Perhaps even with the hope the Giants won't take him into consideration for their game plan, or at least not put enough emphasis on him.
The more I think about it, the more I realize the Giants are in WAY over their heads in this game. Bring it on!
I do too...
and frankly, I'm wondering if we don't see TO a lot closer to 100% than people are saying. I am thinking back to his super bowl with the Eagles, where you couldn't even tell he was injured. Add in what the players said before the gag order and him not wearing a brace on the ankle during that interview, and it's looking like he is going to be ready to burn the Giants yet again.
If Glenn comes back at his best too, then look out.
that would be funny if TG goes off on Sunday
and just simply abuses the Giants secondary. If that happens, I say look out Pats, here we come.
I am gettng positive vibes
I think it is the news about TO, but I have just listened to todays edition of Talking Cowboys and Lunch Break and they seem to have gone from being worried to getting fired up. All these guys are all tired of the talk about the mexico trip, the giants being world beaters, and the complete homerism coming out of NY. I said it before "I CANNOT WAIT FOR SUNDAY", it is excruitiating that it is only Wednesday.
I hope to God...
...that the Cowboys are going into this game with a chip on their shoulders after all this talk of a late season "collapse."
Why did Dallas lose two of the last three in the regular season (only after they had basically clinched homefield) to warrant the label of a "collapse," and the Giants (fighting for a playoff spot) did the same and yet somehow, they're "the hottest team in football"??? I would argue that the Giants' late-season wins weren't exactly pretty either--compared with Dallas' late-season wins vs. Green Bay and Carolina.
The only thing people should be focusing on is what Dallas did in the games that mattered this season, early and late--all the road NFC East wins to guarantee the Division championships; then, the Packers victory to put us in the driver's seat for homefield; and finally, a really great effort AT Carolina to clinch the homefield--on the road against a team that was still fightng for a wild card spot.
Throw in the fact that the home crowd is going to be LOUD this weekend, and I'm feeling damn good.
Again, I just hope this Cowboys team comes out ANGRY, LOOKING FOR BLOOD and WITH A CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDERS!!!
