Going back to Cali
It’s official. The Cowboys will be training in Oxnard this year. Read about it here and here.

Here’s a better breakdown on the Flozell Adams deal.
The six-year deal Flozell Adams signed with the Cowboys will carry cap numbers of $3.6 million in 2008 and '09. Adams got $13 million to sign and guaranteed $1 million base salaries the next two years.
Adams will receive $22.5 million in the first three years of the deal, which is just below the $24 million Leonard Davis will get in the first three years of the contract he signed last year.
Cap number of $3.6 million for each of the next two years. Not bad at all.

If Javon Walker doesn’t need a walker, he could be a good deal for the ‘Boys. But those knee injuries are tricky things.
The Denver Broncos released receiver Javon Walker on Friday, and the Cowboys have stepped up to the plate and expressed an immediate interest, according to numerous sources.
[snip]
Broncos coach Mike Shanahan told Denver reporters that Walker might need microfracture surgery, but agent Kennard McGuire says his client is healthy. In Walker's last two healthy seasons, 2004 with the Packers and 2006 with the Broncos, he hit the 1,000-yard milestone in receiving yards.
The Cowboys are not in a rush to sign Walker and will gauge how to pay him before seriously pursuing him.
Again, this one is dicey. We’ll have to wait until the Cowboys medical staff can take a good look at that knee.

Here’s a DMN article covering our activity, or lack thereof, in free agency.

Wow
I really have to hand it to Stephen Jones, that is a very good contract with Adams. Anybody have updated cap numbers?
very nice cap job by Stevie Jones....
have no clue how they do that...but you'd have to think they could have given the same exact deal to Hamlin ?

I thought Flo's deal was backloaded
Great job by Jerry and Stevo. Retaining one of the premier LTs in the game under market value..beautiful.
If there is no cap in 2 years, Jerry looks like an absolute genius.
Jerome Mathis
Jerome Mathis is one guy I'd like to see us pluck off the scrap heap. He doesnt offer much as a wide-out but we could really use some pop in the return game. He oughtta be cheap too.
I guess i'd rather just see us draft Desean Jackson but thats no guarantee.

Microfracture
That is the same surgery that Glenn needs.... we don't need two receivers with knee probs
Did anyone see what Glenn said recently?
Glenn says no to surgery: Glenn had two surgeries on his right knee, forcing him to miss 15 regular-season games last year, and doctors told him he needs microfracture surgery in the near future but can continue to play without it. He has elected to forgo surgery and plans to play in '08.
"I'm excited about coming back, and I'm glad the team has the confidence in me to return," Glenn said. "I think we have a great team, and I want to be a part of it. I'm very thankful to be around great ownership."

If the knee holds up for the entire '08-'09 season, it'll be a plus... but I'd still like for us to draft a speedy, quality wideout this April, as well!!!
Oxnard
man that's such a buzzkill. I went to TC last year and seeing as I live in the Texas area, it'd be very hard to go to Oxnard. Whenever the official dates are released, can you let me know ASAP, Grizz? That way I can try to make some sort of plans.
Going back to Caliiiiiiiiiiii
I don't think so!
