JJ finds a new home
Julius Jones time has come to an end in dallas
According to Adam Schefter of the NFL Network, Julius
Jones is now an ex-Cowboys running back, ending a four-year run with the team by agreeing to terms with Seattle.
Once considered the heir to the Dorsett/Smith throne, Jones' numbers plummeted in 2007 after he posted his first 1,000-yard season in 2006. In Seattle, there's a likelihood now that Shaun Alexander -- perhaps the best back in club history -- will get whacked, leaving Jones to fight for carries with Maurice Morris and fellow free-agent pickup T.J. Duckett.
Alexander might not be the only highly-accomplished veteran out there on market either, as rumblings have it that Deuce McAlister is another big-money candidate to get cut. The Cowboys did not make a serious attempt to re-sign Jones.

What started so promising in dallas during his rookie season ended with a thud. Good luck JJ, hope things work out better in Seattle.

terms of the deal
???
4 years/3 mil per year
good deal for both sides.
"Successful in Seattle"
Oh how we all remember Juice's breakout game on December 6th, 2004 in Seattle....
30 carries 198 yards and 3 TD's
This game was without a doubt the height of JJ's lackluster 4-year career with the Cowboys. It also gave Cowboy fans the hope that we successfully filled our hole at RB (if we could just keep this guy healthy).
Hopefully he can get his "wiggle" back in Seattle, but we haven't seen it around these parts in a long-time.
So long JJ.

That means...
...possibly one more team drafting in front of us who probably won't draft Jonathan Stewart.
A lot of mock drafts (I know, I know, it's still early to pay attention to these things... and I totally agree, but I'm just sayin') had the Seahawks drafting Stewart with their first rounder.
Although it's rumored that Seattle may release Shaun Alexander, check out their current logjam at RB -- Julius Jones, T.J. Duckett, Shaun Alexander, Maurice Morris.
great point
and whether Stewart is the guy for us or not, it means that one less team with the chance of taking a running back, dropping everyone back just a little.
maybe 2 if....
seattle trades Shaun Alexander....maybe...
