Around SBN: Steve McNair Found Shot to Death

Dallas Cowboys stuff

I didn’t have much time today to post, so besides getting the schedule up on the blog – actually, Deke did that, I just posted it – I haven’t thought or written much about it. I think I’ll do that tomorrow.

In the meantime, read Nick Eatman here, Breer here, and C. Hill here.

The real talent for the draft starts showing up at Valley Ranch this week. Take a look at some of the players expected in the next few days.

Some of the players reportedly visiting with the Cowboys over the next two days are Arkansas running back Felix Jones, Oregon running back Jonathan Stewart, Tennessee State cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Michigan State wide receiver Devin Thomas, Texas wide receiver Limas Sweed, Virginia Tech cornerback Brandon Flowers, Arizona cornerback Antoine Cason, Indiana wide receiver James Hardy, Missouri wide receiver Will Franklin, Virginia Tech offensive tackle Duane Brown and Troy cornerback Leodis McKelvin.

Wow, a lot of choices in that group.

Pacman holds off on applying for reinstatement until the trade either gets done or called off.

BTB-regular Mullin has a diary on it.

I would really like to hear some thoughts

How do you think the individual visits effect the draft strategy? Is our draft board going to be changed based on these visits? If so, how?

DMN Blog

I just scoped out the DMN Blog for the first time and read the comments about predicting the Cowboys 2008 record, and holy crap. Now I know why I never did blogs until I found this one, the DMN Blog is loaded up with a bunch of idiots spouting off uninformed opinions. I couldn't even make it to the end before I had to close the page. This just makes me even more grateful to have a blog like this one with intelligent conversation, albeit sometimes a bit high on the homerism, but overall a high quality of discussion. Not to mention our awesome staff of writers starting with Mr. Halprin and his two new partners in crime, Tuna Helper and Brandon; you guys are doing an excellent job keeping us up to date with new stories and great write-ups. Thankful to have a blog like this to get me through each season!

i firmly believe that Grizz, Brandon and Tuna Helper has set a standard of class here at BTB.  And our fine roster of brothers here are a reflection of that.

you're right sd24.

i often wonder where some of those posters on the DMN blog come from, what are they smokin', what are they drinkin', and what's in their respective heads????

and it does make me grateful for being a part of this Cowboy Fan Fraternity here at BTB Nation!

That made me laugh Terry

The Grizzintine Empire - for a total history nut like me, nothing could have been better.

And thanks for the compliments, guys. And thanks to Brandon and Tuna Helper for helping out.

I second that sentiment

I check out quite a few Cowboys blogs and like the content on the DMN blog, but this is the only one that I bother to read the comments section.  It seems that most of the other sites have more idiotic posters than actual contributors.
