What could have been... its okay. In Harbaugh we trust.

Would things have gone down differently if the Wizards had drafted him? Hard to say. Personally, I'm glad we have guys who can play now.

Since this link didn't appear in Joe Budd's applesauce, figured I would throw it up here since it's a good read.

After finishing my article on Matthew Purke, I became slightly obsessed with figuring out why scouts seem to be so positive about Tyler Matzek's mechanics. I compare the two and break Matzek's arm action down a little.

I wanted to take a look to see why scouts like Matzek's mechanics so much, so here it is. So of the "opposite" of Matthew Purke, Matzek's motion is compared loosely to Purke's motion.

Some of you have probably read that scouts are concerned about Purke's mechanics. I have, but I was never able to find any specifics. I found a pretty good video on YouTube and published this quick but pretty verbose look at what they might be talking about.

As the 2009 draft approaches, I kept reading about Purke's questionable mechanics. No one was specific about them despite the proliferation of these concerns. I stumbled across a decent enough video on YouTube and took this quick but wordy look at Purke to see what folks are so worried about.
