Chad Johnson News...
No, he wasn't traded our cut. He changed his name!
Chad Javon Johnson will now be Chad Javon Ocho Cinco.
I wish this was an April Fool's Joke, but it's not. Still, too funny....
I wonder how this affects his relationship with his teammmates now? When Johnson first put Ocho Cinco on his jersey, Palmer ripped it off.
He's injured and not playing, why is he putting the screws on Marvin Lewis and his teammates?

Troy Hambrick in the News!

He was dealing crack?? Hilarious. I hadn't even realized that he had fallen out of the league. He was on the team only three years ago, and he was definitely productive (almost 1000 yards rushing!)
I always thought he was underrated when he played for the 'Boys.
Still - 50 grams of crack! That's major drug dealing! I wonder what happened to all his NFL money

In honor of markdamack....
Post your most ridiculous scenario. Here's mine:
We get Pacman for a 5th rounder this year and next year.
We trade both of our first rounders for D-Mcfadden this year.
Then we trade our 2nd rounder this year and a 3rd rounder next year for Chad Johnson.
Then we can trade our 4th rounder this year and a 4th rounder next year for Roy Williams.
Nevermind the salary cap ramifications or the 2000 Redskins comparisons!

Honest Questions about the Dallas D
Anybody can see that our defense is terrible...but how would we go about fixing it?
With the current 3-4 base set, honestly, I look across all the starters and none of them jump out at me as "wow, he's doing a terrible job." It just seems that week after week we seem to have little, little mistakes that pile up.
This observation leads me to believe that the 3-4 isn't really all that it's cracked up to be. Mainly, it seems to be a defense built to stop the run...but we're having absolutely zero success against the pass!
Accordingly, here are the changes I would make...I would move back to the 4-3 set, and put canty and spears as DTs. Make DeMarcus and Hatcher the ends.
I'd make Roy the MLB, with Akin and Bradie on the OLB.
This would leave Davis at SS and leave FS open for Watkins. In the offseason, we really need to focus on getting an absolute stud at FS, especially if we're going to continue to use Roy at SS.
Sometimes I feel like Parcells view of defense is antiquated. The "bigger is better" mentality works as long as we get a decent pass rush, but with our lack of one right now, our big guys get killed because their lack of speed shows.
Anyways, these are just my thoughts. I'm curious to hear all of yours.

Remaining Needs...
Now that we've signed T.O. we finally have the dynamic, game-changer on offense that we've been missing for so long, but...we still need to protect Bledsoe. None of these receivers mean anything if we can't protect Bledsoe.
So, does anyone have any updates on the O-line? I know we signed Fabini, but what happened w/ Larry Allen? If we lose Larry Allen, doe we have options for an experienced guard to replace him?
As for the draft, it's pretty evident that we're going to go after a FS, unless someone dramatically slips and we can get a superior talent. Is there any chance we make a play for Michael Huff?
While I'd like to draft a WR or a young O-lineman, I think we're gearing up to win now. The next year or two is going to be very interesting....

Offensive Line: Present and Future?
The Redskins game was terrible. I've read alot of comments about the how the offense looks stagnant, and I really believe that all our problems stem from our offensive line.
Well, duh. For all of Drew Bledsoe's faults, he can still be an amazing quarterback. Bledsoe's the most immobile quarterback in the NFL, and yet, for some reason, we start a 6th round draft pick on his right side, and we have an undrafted college guard covering his blind side!
Why?! I know Flozell Adams and Jacob Rogers are out for the year with injuries, but I don't understand how these guys were backups in the first place. Why is Torrin Tucker still playing? Didn't we sign Marco Rivera at Guard because of his dismal performance? Yes, elsewhere they can be successful, but not with the quarterback that we have. Given Bledsoe, the Cowboys have to place a premium on protecting him.
Now, our offense is just plain vanilla. We can switch to max-protect schemes, but this really limits our big play potential.
After the injury to Jacob Rogers, I was really worried that this may happen (I wasn't too fond of him to begin with). On paper, we're really mediocre.
If we're to win with the current setup, we need a new strategy. Flozell is coming back next year, so the left side should be taken care of, but I'm still not keen on Jacob Rogers on the right side. I really hope we sign the best available tackle and plug him in on the right side. Make Jacob Rogers a backup. Yeah, he was a second-round pick, but he's always making excuses about his lack of progress and just has a bad attitude.
