Redskins battling injury bug

Over at the Washington Times there's an article talking about the health of the Redskins secondary.

The Washington Redskins' precarious health at cornerback took another turn for the worse yesterday when rookie Carlos Rogers had his left arm in a sling after bruising his biceps the previous day at Arizona.

Rogers' tenuous status for Sunday's critical NFC East game with Dallas added to an injury list that includes fellow starter Shawn Springs, who strained his groin and lower back at Arizona, and third corner Walt Harris, who strained his calf in practice last week.

If the three regular corners can't play, the Redskins will be forced to go with little-used Ade Jimoh and perhaps practice squad corner Dimitri Patterson against the Cowboys, although free safety Sean Taylor is swift enough to play the position.

If some, or all of these guys don't play, Tuna has got to seriously think about leaning on the passing game again.

I mean, when you have the potential FedEx player of the week heading into play at FedEx field, you have to go to the air, right?

jbratch reminds us in the comments section of the previous post that the Giants are having health issues, also. Maybe the NFC East isn't over yet. From jbratch:

Starting tackles Luke Petitgout and Kareem McKenzie, both injured in Sunday's 26-23 overtime win at Philadelphia along with [Antonio] Pierce and defensive tackle William Joseph, are listed as day to day.
