Staubach endorses Aikman for HoF

The Houston Chronicle chronicles Roger Staubach's endorsement of Troy Aikman, and other Cowboys, for the Hall of Fame. Money quote:

"I don't see how that can happen," Staubach said Monday about the possibility Aikman wouldn't be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. "It wouldn't make any sense."

Agreed, it would be a mockery of the process not to have Aikman make it on his first chance. I like this quote too, regarding the success of the '90s Cowboys.

"I don't think they have the (success in the) '90s without him," said Staubach. "If you look at the big games, the key games, the guy threw the ball as well as anybody."

Later in the aritcle he discusses the perceived bias towards the Cowboys at the Hall of Fame. He also endorses Rayfield Wright.

Good old Captain Comeback, standing up for family.
