Keyshawn Johnson

Said Johnson: "I don't know if he ever considered retiring. But it's great. It's important to keep some things intact. Now we just have to finish the job."

"I didn't want to have to play for another coach," said Johnson, who has played for Parcells in four of his 10 seasons (two with the New York Jets), "but I thought all along that he was coming back."

Aaron Glenn

"It's good for the team," Glenn said. "We were so close. It was a no-brainer for him to come back. He sees he has something. It's up to us as players to follow through on the progress we made this past year."

"He's been in a lot of big games, and he's coached Hall of Famers. He's been great for me personally."

Drew Bledsoe

"Just from the energy he had and the enthusiasm and how he spoke not only to the team but about the team and how he likes the guys, I would've been surprised if he wasn't coming back," quarterback Drew Bledsoe said. "I never got a sense he was tired of it or looking forward to the end of it."

DeMarcus Ware

"I think he sees we have a lot potential and wanted to stay," said Ware, a rookie who finished tied for the team lead in sacks.

Anthony Henry

"He is an established guy that will give us the charge to get to the next level," Henry said.
