Cowboys article roundup

The guys over at ESPN; Merrill Hoge, Mark Schlereth, Sean Salisbury, and Eric Allen all support Bledsoe as the QB, to varying degrees. You can read their take, here.

John Czarnecki thinks the Cowboys are better than a 2-2 team. Wasn't it Parcells who said "You are what you are"?

Scouts, Inc. writer Gary Horton rates Drew Bledsoe as the 26th best QB in the NFL out of 28 starters in the games played in Week 5.

26. Bledsoe made bad decisions and threw three huge interceptions in loss at Philadelphia. He's a statue in the pocket, holds on to the ball too long and makes too many bad decisions for a guy with his experience.

Len Pasquarelli looks at the mistakes Dallas made Sunday and the youth on defense.

In the long run, though, many came away from the contest believing the Cowboys had outplayed the Eagles in several facets, and Dallas might ultimately become the better team. Right or wrong, such a suspicion was based on two factors: First, despite surrendering seven sacks and five turnovers, and with quarterback Drew Bledsoe playing miserably, Dallas still had a chance in the closing seconds to send the game into overtime. Second (and far more meaningful), the Cowboys have assembled a defense that could emerge as a terrific unit.

Don't look now, but Julius Jones is #1 in the NFL in rushing yards per game at 97 yards. He's also fifth in total rushing yards with 388 yards and he has a 4.5 yards per carry average. Nice job, Julius.
