Marcus Coleman to start

Roy Williams spilled the beans, and so did moon rock in this diary, Marcus Coleman looks to be the starter on Sunday,

Bill Parcells said he will make the decision on who starts at free safety on Sunday, but Roy Williams said on his weekly radio show on K-104 FM that Marcus Coleman will start. Patrick Watkins said he has not taken any reps with the first-team defense this week.

But it gets worse for Watkins.
Coleman said he did not know what Parcells was going to do, and Parcells said it would be difficult to dress all three safeties against the Panthers. Keith Davis, last season's starter, did not play Monday vs. the New York Giants, but Parcells said he expects Davis to play this week.

Parcells said that Davis was moving well in practice and you know he wants him playing special teams. Sounds like Watkins will see his first inactive day.

Sure would like to see Hatcher back in the rotation, but it looks like it won't happen.

Rookie DE Jason Hatcher missed his third straight day of practice and probably won't play Sunday at Carolina.

Little known facts about the Tuna.

Tony Romo and Bill Parcells were on the same page today. Romo showed up for his news conference in a Jimi Hendrix T-shirt. And for those of you who don't know, Parcells is a huge Hendrix fan.

I did not know that, somehow the image of the Tuna playing air guitar to Foxy Lady never really occurred to me. I always thought he was a Sinatra guy.

I'm going to talk some more about this New York Times article tomorrow and every Cowboys fan should read it. It's probably the best article - with the most access to Parcells - that I've read in recent memory. Check it out now.
