Tyson Thompson might not go on IR is reporting that Tyson Thompson could return this season after breaking his ankle in Sunday night's game against Carolina.

On Tuesday, Thompson will undergo surgery to have a plate inserted in his ankle, according to information given us from the office of Cowboys orthopedic surgeon Dr. Dan Cooper. It is possible that the recovery time for such an injury is only four-to-six weeks, we are told.

This is great news as we really need TT as our primary kick returner down the tough December stretch. In the meantime, it looks as though Parcells will go with either Skyler Green, Aaron Glenn or a FA to return kicks over the next several games. I guess we'll know in a few days.
