Cowboys to play in HoF game in preseason?

Sounds like a natural to me, Dallas playing in the preseason Hall of Fame game. Two Cowboys will be taking the podium that August day, why not have Dallas play the game also? One problem and it's a valid one. The NFL wants to schedule Dallas to play the Saints to help with Hurricane Katrina relief.

Mickey Spags is doing a nice job covering the Hall of Fame story, check it out here.

Formal enshrinement ceremonies will be held in Canton during the weekend of August 5-6, 2006. The annual AFC-NFC Hall of Fame Game will be played that weekend as well.

Picked up this tidbit in a DFWST article.

Pasqualoni was considered a front-runner to replace Gary Gibbs, who left to become the Saints defensive coordinator. Pasqualoni has a defensive background as a linebacker at Penn State and linebackers coach at Syracuse before becoming the head coach from 1991-2004.

But with Chris Palmer taking over as quarterbacks coach, Jones said the Cowboys are hesitant about making another change with the offense and probably will look outside the organization for a linebackers coach.
