Cowboys random news

New, comments

The Terrell Owens signing has generated a fair share of contoversey. Does the signing significantly improve the Cowboys chances of contending for the Super Bowl? That will be debated all summer. The folks at Sportsbook.com, who put their money on the line, seem to think Owens will have a significant impact. Here are a few excerpts from the press release they just sent out.

The Cowboys have seen their Super Bowl odds improve from 20-1 to 11-1
since acquiring TO and they have also improved their odds to clinch the NFC Championship, their odds improving from 7-1 to 4-1, behind the Seahawks at 7-2.

The Philadelphia Eagles, who unloaded Owens have seen their Super Bowl odds plummet from 20-1 to 30-1, and their NFC Championship odds drop from 8-1 to 13-1.

Giants | K. Johnson to visit

Mike Garafolo, of the Star-Ledger, reports free agent WR Keyshawn Johnson (Cowboys) will reportedly visit with the New York Giants Tuesday, March 21. A source said the Giants are expected to make a strong bid to sign Johnson and may strike a deal as early as this week. Johnson is said to be excited about the opportunity to return to the New York area, a place he never wanted to leave. Johnson has other teams interested in him as well. No matter who signs him, Johnson made it clear last week he's not looking to take a pay cut.
