All's quiet on the western front

Does anybody else think things are awfully quiet concerning the NFL today? We haven't seen any big-name cuts today, nobody seems to be talking to the press. My conclusion, and it was just echoed by Chris Mortenson on ESPN; they're cutting a deal and free agency will be delayed while eveybody gets used to the new deal. Just my guess, but if the owners weren't optimistic a deal would get done, wouldn't they be cutting players to get in compliance with the cap? I think we'd being seeing a lot more action today if the current deadlines were going to hold.
